Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

mine says “access denied The website housingweb.campuslife.cornell.edu is unable to accept your credentials. You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. If you continue to have problems please contact the website administrator.”

Make sure you’re not clicking on the NetID link, because we have applicant IDs. Click on the second link on that page…

oh hahaha. oops. I have the same timed out message almost everyone else has. That makes me a lot less worried! Like everyone else for the most part has said, I doubt it’s very indicative of acceptance since I’m sure more people on this page than just helmetuser will be accepted.

Yeah Im not worried. I think we’re all just trying to crack a system that just can’t be cracked! They’re too smart to give away the answer that easily lol.

Or maybe the admissions office knew we would do this and is trying to ■■■■■ us and they are watching us freak out lolz

hahahaha, ^ that’s probably it. They’ve been looking at apps for the past few months and want some entertainment.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/14326338-post2433.html

if you are able to log in to housing, you are most likely accepted. if you are unable, you are probably rejected. terrible, i know.

Is there anyone else who can log into the housing portal?

One problem with that…they were all regular decision applicants.

Also, even if it is true that accepted applicants can access the housing site, i don’t think it is as simple as flipping a switch giving everyone access to it. I’m sure they are still going crazy sorting things. By early next week we can start to assume things…

i think i figured out why mine is working - i attended a summer program at cornell, have a net ID that still works and it is the same as my applicant id. for example, my app id is app13-nb912; my net id was nb912. This further proves why in my profile summary in the housing portal says I am a “graduate” category, as the school of continuing studies is a graduate division.

And a collective sigh of relief is heaved

i may be wrong again - i can’t access any of the other log ins (applying to housing as a graduate student, as an already matriculated student); access is denied. But, I am only able to log in using the “newly admitted students” log in without netID and with applicant id

i honestly don’t know what is going on - we should just wait and see what happens

This forum is making me nervous, I logged in today and saw what everyone was trying to access and for some reason (pretty sure I was doing something wrong) couldn’t access it so I became really pessimistic.

Any definite answers about the log in availability?

I think helmetuser should call to figure out his situation and report back. Or maybe we should all chill and grit our teeth until official decisions come out.

heres my thought process:
1.cornell is need blind
2.so they only process fin aid for accepted students
3.so if you can see a exact number under the “pending financial aid” with the breakdown of ur fin aid you probably got in

right? stands to reason

BreakingGrace, you can see your Fin Aid stuff and etc? What college did you apply to and what are your stats?

@cheese, those are transfer students and I read on their thread that there were several of them that had access to the home log-in and were rejected. Those that could access it and were accepted generally only gained access to it the morning of decisions

^^^ sigh of relief
