Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

Am I the only one whose status isn’t updated yet?

Mine isn’t updated yet either! CALS Applicant

Mine’s been updated, CALS applicant living in NY

Strange, I’m a NY resident applying to CALS too, but mine isn’t updated!

Hmm are you sure? haha, I had to double check that it was updated Tyler.

Ok. Everyone needs to calm down. (Including me)
We’ve done our best. Seriously, chill out. Last few months of high school, I mean.

Best of luck to all! Any CAS applicants out there?

I don’t know why I’m anxious. When 12/16 comes around I’ll be holding a rejection letter… Guess I’m anxious to be rejected

I’ve got nothing. Just gotta wait it out. In the meantime, lets compare test scores?

^ lets not, that’ll just make everyone a billion times more nervous d:

^ LOL! That will either make us feel better or worst. But 2130/1400 SAT 1, 790 math 2C, 740 phy, Expected A level result, 3A*, 1A

Applying CoE for CS. anyone else? Havent checked my status yet. It’ll update, we shouldnt worry about that.

On another note, has anyone noticed how extremely nice and helpful Cornells adcoms are. I always get a reply to my email within 12 hrs, with exactly the reply I need ^.^

The only scores that I sent were 2 33’s on the ACT. If they do for some reason super score, id pull off a 34. I can’t wait until Dec. 16!

2320(1600 cr + m) on first and only try
800 math 2, 760 bio, 780 chem, 790 physics.
Still probably getting rejected due to terrible GPA (3.7 unweighted) and Indian male applying to CoE

Why not? Not much can make the waiting period more stressful, tbh.

SAT: 2390 (800 W, 800 M, 790 CR … lol) on first try
800 World History, 790 Literature, 790 Chemistry, 790 Math II

Asian female applying to CAS for English

If only test scores were actually important in the admissions process…

^^ oof those ten points on CR must have been pretty frustrating lol

^Tell me about it, haha. I took it in January and I’m still the slightest bit bitter. It’s kinda worse that I know exactly which question I missed. At least I only had to take it once, though…

Guys, let’s not compare test scores! Everyone who’s applied ED is qualified in their own way, and I think we’re all stressed out enough to not have to worry about everyone else’s qualifications.

Thanks for the update that it was on the 16th–a bit of a bummer to have to wait another couple of days but at least now we know for sure. Hang in there, we’re all in the same boat!

^I’m just as stressed as anyone else, but at the same time, I’ve accepted that there’s literally nothing I can do to affect my decision now…it’s likely already been made.

The assistant dean of undergraduate admissions at Cornell personally told me that standardized tests hold almost no weight in the decision process, so no worries, everyone – your scores won’t make you or break you. Take a deep breath, pour yourself some hot tea, and work on those RD apps while we all wait for Dec. 16. :)

I’m happy to know the exact date. The 16th isn’t so bad for me because my cheerleading state championship will be over by then. I have to find something positive!

Please tell me youre joking… That cant be possible.

16th!!! Ughhh!! Why?! Its sooo late! I cant concentrate on other apps.

Theres absolutely nothing that can make this time more stressful. No harm in comparing scores. :/
