***Official Dartmouth Class of 2019 Regular Decision Thread

D wait listed. What does that mean exactly? I mean, I know what it means, but does she accept BC then take it back if she gets into Dartmouth? How long does one sit and wait to make a final decision? Anyone know what the conversion rate is from wait list to accepted at Dartmouth? I suppose it varies between schools but my impression is that it’s usually dismally low.

@StMikesDad I know it means your daughter should make a deposit at another school. I have the same questions about the timeline and chances of acceptance from the wait list, though.

Wait listed. Accepting the spot, but not expecting anything.

To all those who were accepted: Congratulations! You are clearly qualified and you will receive an outstanding education at Dartmouth.

To all those who were rejected/waitlisted: The fact that you chose to apply to Dartmouth shows that you are just as highly motivated. Regardless of which institution you decide to attend, you will achieve great things and you will set the world on fire.
