***Official Dec 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@banamala1 yeah. The author was saying that you shouldn’t look in an immigrant’s refrigerator for evidence of assimilation.

Also, what did you guys say the last paragraph was an example of? Sentimentality?

I put misgiving as well @canunot‌

What was the answer for question something like “a birthday was also celebrated” for the passage about the parade and Memorial Day? Was it that it was returning to the present?

@allista what were the answer choices for that one

@kikibrit I based average speed on time. Then, I set a hypothetical distance of 60 miles between the two locations. It took 1.5 hours one way and 1 hour the other way. So the weighted average is 48mph.

@Volume‌ yeah I said returning to the present.

@canunot I think they were traditionalism, assimilation, sentimentality. The other 2 didn’t make sense

@mizejonathan17‌ not necessarily will they delay your score, because i took march 2014 and got a 1780 and then took the test in october 2014 and got a 2280, which is 500 pts and I did not have a delay in my score…then again LOL my score breakdown was so sad in march: 480 CR, 730 M, 570 W, and october: 720 CR, 800 M, 760 W

@allista I put down "traditionalism because the food used existing ingredients to make new products, hence traditionalism.

@Volume‌ i put hindrance for tht…

@allista‌ I put assimilation.

For the writing section a question was like “essential to the formation…” Is it no error?

tradititionalism

What was the angle for the two tangent line question?

@top586 I do not remember the specific answer, but what you do is to make a “kite” shape out of the two radii and two tangent lines. Two of the angles are 90 degrees, and the third was given. Use this information to get the fourth angle of the quadrilateral.

i put assimilation because it is assimilating the old traditional food and new spice/sauce…

@top586 I think I put 125?

@agupte- thank you!!!

@Volume I think that was the answer. Thanks for reminding me!

Let’s predict some curves?

@APScholar18
Reading was very easy, even one wrong could be less than 800.
Math was average
Grammar was very hard for me. I think the curve should be more lenient.

Can we talk about the blockbuster passage?

@top586 What did you say for the similar motives question? Was it to prioritize art over revenue (or something like that)?
