Official Dec 2nd Sat Thread

Oh yes, I just had an epiphany... You're correct. It was 4 units from 5. Or was it? Damn, I must have mistaken it for 5 units from 4 during the test.

raconteur was an answer as well

for which one?

Something about a lady who could use anecdotes effectively along with some other skill of hers.

I remember "prototype" being one answer as well...

Also, something about "technological -- possible" for something about European exploration because of a new invention (compass maybe?)

Does anyone know if the December SAT has a good curve? What month is supposed to have the best curve?

Also did anyone have the really weird sentence completion (I think it was the first CR section) about an English woman spending time with the Cherokee and one of the answer choices was "halcyon...onerous"? That one made no sense. It's the only CR question I'm not really sure about.

Got the same one, looks like halcyon/onerous was the right answer, though I guessed teidous/feckless

was one of the answers for sentence completition feckle or feckleness

I don't remember "feckle" being on the test... Or at least I didn't answer that.

I had an experimental CR (I think mine was African Wildlife Conservation)

the answer was onerous and halcyon

err wasn't it like fickleness? o.o;;

EDIT: JK. Sorry i didn't see page 7 was talking about the question with the cherokee lady >.<;;. I thought you guys were talking about the sentence completion that said

"the kids friends were getting super angry at him because he was ( blank ): and something about him never picking a side or something"

btw, weren't there two cherokee lady sentence completion questions?

I remember that one TheOneZ

Dont remember any of the answer choices though :<

What'd you guys think of the math? Hard-average-easy? I'm still hoping for a nice curve...

Easy with many questions conducive of dumb mistakes?

yeah... ive been kicking myself for the stupidest mistake I made on the math section. Really pains me...

The question about the number of integers with the number zero from 99 to 1000 looked so simple, as it was... So start... 100, 100, 120, etc. You get the point. However, as I learned when I got home and went on CC, I had an answer that was half of what it should have been. Aparently, In my haste, I forgot that numbers like 101, 102, and 103 have a zero! Man, it's been eating at me for three days now.

goldwater, that mistake is in NO way comparable to the 3 dollars cans question lol... whatever i hate sats NEVER TAKING IT AGAINNNNNNN =D

Math-Easy CR-Average WRITING-FREAKING HARD, i didn't have time finish the questions

for the question with the cars...driver and passenger one with 60 cars...83 people did anyone get 51?

I got 52 for that and I don't see how everyone is getting 51?

So if there were 52 cars with 1 driver, 7 with 3 pass. (4ppl), and 1 with 2 pass (3ppl). That would equal 83 people with 60 cars...

Anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

it was only 1 driver no pass 1 driver 3 pass and 1 driver 1 pass....there was nothign said about 1 driver 2 pass

i believe i could be wrong

I hope hope hope that the options were driver by him/herself, driver w/ 1 passenger (2 total) and driver w/ 3 passengers (4 total). I had 51 + 22 + 74 = 83 people, 60 cars.
