Official Dec 2nd Sat Thread

UFrocks,

I'm sure you'll do fine next time you take your SAT. 1800 is a very good score for a sophomore. Most sopomores aren't even thinking about the SAT (I wasn't nor were any of my friends, atleast). I found my PSAT score to be pretty indicative of my first SAT.

Well thats the new official one from CB. Apparently the very first reading section was the one that didnt count. Which passages were in that one? anyone remember?

Yea george yang... I can't believe the 1st of 2 CR was equating.. damn college board... I did bad on the 3rd section.. which was the Shakespeare one i think..

George Yang

essay
cr <--- i remember saying to myself this was gay cause it was first<--I totally agree, I was like ! I wanted math to so I can get my brain going but noooo I just had to get CR... I thought it was totally gay. But it gets Better............
cr <--- i was like " college board, 2 in a row?" <--- I totaly agree. I was like ! two in a row? In my mind I was thinking this was probably equating one... BUT NOOOOO it was the one before, which I thought I did better than the 3rd section... I hate college board. Why do they give us a equating one so damn early in the test. *...
math <-- finally, a math
cr <---...thats it. go die in a fire CB... I agree again... 5 of first 6 sections were non math? Come on... So unfair to those that need math to get their brains going..
writing
math <---- noticeable harder (i lost count and thought this was the experimental and omitted one. =[)
cr
math
writing

GEorGE YANG I Couldn't AGREE WITH YOU MORE.

georgeyang the equating one (section 2) had the passage about a woman and journalism. i so am lucky because i felt that i screwed up on this section.

argh i thought i did well on that section too x_x i messed up on Shakespeare. argh. asdjfgalkjgnelkjrgnaljkrgnsrgj

Yea Me too I thought i did ok on section 2, and I screwed up on Shakespeare one...sdaffffffff sdfsefsaefasefsefasefsafasdf

Woman and journalism? can you refresh my memory? bt073011?

AS;LFHLSAKFJ!! AHAHA I'M SO HAPPPPPPY THANKS EVERYONE I was soooooooooo upset when i finished my essay to start reading that stupid passage on diaries i WENT THROUGH THT THREE TIMES BEFORE TRULY ANSWERING QUESTIONS WITH ANY CONFIDENCE AT ALL yesssssss =D

^
I don't get it lol. So you bombed that section?

yeppppp i bombed the diaries section NOT JOURNALISM... right? lol did i misread... [i really thought it was confusing cause she had a sh**load..well just two, entries and then goes on to talk about what REALLY had happened instead of what she THOUGHT happened.. cause shes writing about stuff she witnessed whereever she was and had like 1960?1980? after some sentences which was arkward... took me a while to get]

Georgeyoung89, does the format you posted apply to all of the Dec 2 test versions or just a particular one? I got a writing section for the second section (I had a writing equating section.) and my test seems similar to that format, but it seems like everyone else got a CR section for that section. :/??.

Yea, Equating could be writing, math, or CR

Oh I see. Phewwwww, that was a hard section.

I think can problem is $3 because you cannot only buy 5 oz of 12oz can.... you have to purchase the entire can...

for one of the sentence completions the last question was the answer dirge???

spark- its not 3 dollars... cause you can combine it like TWO CANS OF one and ONE can of another oz.. somthing like that

i got dirge for one of them too. sad thing is, i picked dirge because Dirge is the name of an undead in a flash film so i remember it was slow and anything else used to describe undead.

and no it wasnt 3.

And the thing I put up was only 1 of the 3 possibilities if you had the black cover test. You can see your own by logging on to your account

Smithmt,

I chose dirge for one of my answers; I forgot the question, but I think it had something to do with something mournful/dead (?), so "dirge" - funeral song.
