Official December 10th ACT Reading Discussion

Haha no I don’t remember the question because I ran out of time…I just guessed A

****! I ran out of time on reading. Guessed on last 4. Any1 remember answer to last 4?

The one about about carcicultures was that he was good at it but spoke out against the technique.

@stsrchywinky u sure? I think I got that 2!

I’m pretty sure. I spent a lot if time on that question analyzing the passage lol

I thought it was that he was good at it but refrained from using it in his artwork (Explicitly stated that in the passage). Not sure though…

edit: nvm, i answered decried. don’t know why i said refrained instead of decried ^^^

^I’m pretty sure the passage said that he was good at it but “decried the use of it”

No, that was the answer that seemed like the answer, but the passage said that he was not above using them in his murals, meaning he did use them.

i was debating between the politics one and the great skill one or whatever. i guessed the politics because that paragraph dealt with the contradiction or something

I got decried against.

What other choices made sense…?

the answer was stated exactly in the passage with the word decried

can someone confirm that C was the answer to the last question in the first passage?

yeah my bad. that was my answer choice… dont know why i mixed up decried with refrained but that was explicitly in the passage…

Parts of the test were reused?

Laugh out loud! College Board reissued the Nov 2010 Lit Subject Test for the December ones last week! These testing companies are running out of material to test us on!

There was no mention of politics. That answer choice said that he was contradicting with his responses to the media, which was said no where in the passage.

anyone…? last question to first paragraph being C?

Also: wasn’t the ejecta blanket the matter that foiled out from the asteroid? I don’t recollect the “exact” wording, but I remember it being the same as one of the excerpts from the passages. I chose that option.

@Greenmamba20 was it about Orzoco? It was the choice about him going on to greater artistic achievements after he left the United States.

But he DID use them in his work, so that’s why that answer with decried in it was wrong because the second part of the answer said that he didn’t use them, but he did.

whoops I thought you meant the last question of that passage! Ma bad :S
@starchywinky are you talking about the question about caricatures? :)
