Official December 10th ACT Reading Discussion

Yep, definitely attic. That was one that was 100% clearly stated, no inference needed.

It was introduced at the end of one paragraph (something about how old memories are tucked away in old boxes in the corner of the brain or whatever) and then the beginning of the next paragraph compared the brain to an attic.

the blue moon is the age of the surface, i remember that question.

For the moon passage: the question about all the quotes i.e. transient phenomena, blah blah blah, was the answer “B” it was question 37. i think

It’s definitely why he surprisingly felt okay. He tells us that he slept in till 10:30, which answers the question “what time did the narrator wake up?” (choice A I think)

what was the color filter used for?

what was the one with the ejecta blanket? and that one moon article with the airplane question(last 1 i think).

What was the answer to the first question about the mexican mural guy?
The main idea of the passage? anyone know?

johny i put the contrast between Mexico and U.S.

I don’t think contrast between us and Mexico is right. It was all on his art while he was in the us and didn’t mention anything about his work in Mexico. What were the other choices?
Attic is 100% right.
The color filters were used to determine the age of the moon’s surface.
The airplane was an amatuer mistake.

agreed with @starch regarding contrast between US and Mexico. If you’re talking about the question that was like “What was one thing his painting did…”, the answer was “depict events from battles” (it was practically word for word from the passage)

And can anybody tell me what the LETTER answer for #10 was? (The last one in the first passage, it provided like a three line quote and asked something about it…)

Thanx guys, somewhere 10. dealth with how he applied it faithfully or something I think i but B

Yeah somewhere I guessed on the “contrast” question, but the one you are thinking of is a different question, I did put depict events from battles.

I also don’t think it was the contrast that wwas the answer. I am not completely sure of the other answers, but the question was about the main idea.
