-Official December 9th ACT Score Thread-

Ranks, I see no point in you retaking the ACT again.

I'm so excited! I got a 31. It was my third and final attempt at this test, and I improved from a 26!
people, there's hope!

I have to wait another week.
I don't get it....I wasn't a standby and I checked 3 times during the test to make sure that all my info was correctly filled in.
Meh....

English is supposed to be my worst subject, lol, I guess the preperation payed off, that came from a previous best of 27E

*** was with the science, I got a 32 last time.

A 29. Again. Another one. I'm so ****ed off. That was my last shot, too. I think I somehow got stupider this year since I cared a LOT more this time and the last time I got a 29 I was almost late to testing, I took my sweet time, and didn't care at all. And it was Junior year.

I hate the ACT. adsfjl;kdasfjlkadsf

Oct test

33 Reading +6
34 science +8 (What?!! Best score in science? Didnt expect that)
Comp: 33 +2
writing: ?

Im pretty freakin happy about the +2, although Im kinda mad cause I know I couldve done better in math, but for some reason I didnt work as fast and didnt finish. Plus, I turned my graphing calc in to my teacher the day before the test (bad move) and had to use scientific. But o well, Im still pretty happy. I really expected my score to be either the same or only +1.

Dec Test [from June Test]:
English: 34 [+2]
Math: 34 [+1]
Reading: 34 [+2]
Science: 26 [-9!]
Composite: 32 [-1]

So f***ing angry. How could I let science screw me over? It was my best section last time. So depressed but who cares I got into my #1 choice school.

holy F#$%
this is crazy S***
i got a 30.25 again....was expecting a 33-34

adore,
You missed the possibility of "late receipt of answer sheets".

qrd,
No, scores are NOT delayed due to being flagged for a large increase.

Just spoke with ACT. They will be posting more scores tomorrow and Thursday. After that they will post on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

Lol...
this is my first time taking it... like without any practice:

I'm gonna retake it February.... and this will be my last time, so i'm gonna study my A$$ of for this one. I hope to get atleast 31... at best about 33. I think it'll be no problem. Only time shall tell XD!

I'm a first time taker. And a newbie to this forum. I've been lurking around a little while though.

English: 35
Mathematics: 25
Reading: 35
Science: 24
Composite: 30

I'll take that. I'm definitely no world-beater in math and the science section is strange to me.

Composite: 32

I actually studied this time too, but people have said that the test got way harder, so maybe that's why. I defintely think it was harder than the June test.

Luckily for me, everyone in MI gets a free ACT in March, it's part of a state-wide test. So I get another chance, hahaha. Shooting for the 29 for UM - Ann Arbor!

I want to post my progression. And I have to say that studying, at least for the English part, pays off big time. All I did was get a book from the library, lol.

I'm almost tempted to take it again and go for the 34+. Don't think it would make any difference for admissions, but maybe it would help for scolarships? IDK. I hate standardized tests, I suck at them.

improved from a 28 3 times originally.

Dude you should definitely go for it Ungst. My improvement from 27-33 was simply over a weekend of reading The PR book and taking 2 practice tests. Provided that you take like 3-4 practice tests, and really work on the timing, I could easily see you with a 34. Just get that Science up.

33 english

34 composite

for my reading subscores i got 16 and 17 but my overall reading was 32. is that supposed to happen?
