-Official December 9th ACT Score Thread-

o really this afternoon?...well the afternoon is almost over now

Goddamnit! I don't know what to do. I have to send in my college apps by Friday and I don't even knoow what I got on my ACT. :(:(:(

Same With Me!!!!!!!!

Let's see...the afternoon ends at 5:00 technically. And it's 2:06 pacific time which makes it 4:06 central time. Less than an hour ACT service...less than an hour. this makes me soo mad.

i took the ACT for sophie davis, i got 31 for english, 34 for math & reading, 36 for science, and 34 composite.

How do you check your scores online?

http://www.actstudent.org/scores/early/index.html

how many people got a 36?

Very few people get a 36. According to Wikipedia's page on the ACT, only 216 students nationwide who said they would graduate in 2006 got a 36.

There's nothing wrong with a 35 or even a 30 for that matter. Once you get to the higher scores, the differences between each number get lower and lower. One poorly-worded question could literally mean the difference between the next point up for down for some people.

ahh..i c

is it true that only 11 people got a 36 on the december test?? (this month's ACT exam?)

Who knows? My guess is it isn't 100% true because not all tests have been scored yet.

If you want a good idea of how many 36s to expect each test date, divide 216 by the number of ACT tests this year.

Then again, ACT scores can vary from year to year. One year might bring a fair number of high scores and another a lesser amount of high scores.

When the writing score is available, will the viewing be free? If not, how will we know, besides having the pay to look at the score, when the writing is available?

o nvm...forgot that before u pay to look at ur scores it tells u whether or not the writing is graded

sum1 from CC told me they got a 36...dkornruns...and he said that there were only 11 people that got it in the whole country...he said he paid the money to see it early online tho...wasnt sure if he was telling the truth or not

Like I said in my post, NO ONE knows how many 36s there were yet. Some tests still haven't even been graded, so how could anyone know how many 36s there are? And if his information were correct, how would he have found it out?

ACT doesn't release overall score information (like how many 36s there were) until summer, and even then I don't think they ever give the data by test date or even by testing year, but by graduating class. So I think that CCer was FOS.

k..thanks sleepy sentry and mrs ferguson

it seemed a little fishy at first from the way they talked..lol

how did yall do on the writing?

i got an 8...ugh

this was my first time taking it with no studying, tutoring or anything
im very proud of myself
but on everyother standardized test ive taken, ive done poorly on english (never expected to get anywhere near an 11 on the writing) and math is always a much higher score than the rest. did anything like this happen to anyone else?

Math: 29
English: 31
Reading: 29
Science: 31
Comp: 30
