Official December SAT II Chemistry Thread

lol.
the neon one was something like this...
neon will light up if you pass energy through it
BECAUSE
somethign about how it emits photons
i said TTCE

yea besides that one anythin els

i said H2S was not polor, because its linear and the bonds cancel each other out...but maybe it was asking if it had polar bond? does someone remember if it was polar bonds or a polar molecule?

thats the only one i can remember, sorry...

wut was the second question for H2S

H2S is polar

Oh yeah, now I remember! The neon one was like: if you pass electricity through it, it will light up because the pressure goes down or something like that. I put T/T/CE.

i mean the second Q for the H2S

I thought this was the easiest Chem SAT II I've taken (I've taken last June's and October's). I finished with like 15 minutes to spare. But judging by what ya'll have said, I have mos def gotten a few wrong! What was the answer to the atomic theory one? I put quantum energy.

like the first one said is it polar? wut the the second part ask?

Shoot I don't remember. What were some of the other T/F questions?

easy for you to say. :p

shiit iono cmon where did evryone els goo

this is bad...on my test it asked if CO2 was nonpolar bec its shape was linear, i put TTCE, anyone remember the TT one? I think it was # 110 or sth?

isn't there like 17045325 atomic theories anyway? dumb test. The polar one was like "H2S is polar...because S has only one lone pair" but I put true/false for that.

well lets see for the second to last one was balance this equation:

C4H10 + O2 = CO2 + H2O

and if 1 mol of butane is given, how much product would you have?

yess i put that tooo

I also thought there were 85 questions (PLUS the 15 CEs) so I went really fast through it. I probably made dumb mistakes because of it.

"The polar one was like "H2S is polar...because S has only one lone pair" but I put true/false for that."

2 lone pairs right?

yeah that's what I had Goldfish
