Official December SAT II Math 2 Thread

Haha. I did #s 35-50 twice, and I graphed all the function questions like three times and stared at the equations JUST to make sure they were right.

that answer is 2 for the m and business

How'd you get 2?

if i skipped 11 and got 2 wrong what score would that be?

I think like 750ish? Maybe that's a little high actually.

all i want is above a 720 but i doubt that will happen so i think i'll just cancel my score.

can I get an 800 with 2 blanks and 5 wrongs

What about the question with the triangle in the circle. It tells you what angle theta is and asks you to find RT (maybe)? Which was the base if you made a second triangle.

the horizontal side of the triangle is cos(theta), so the segment they ask for is 1 - cos(theta)

2 blank, 5 wrong --> 790

I got 1-cos(theta), too.

what is the minumium raw score for an 800? 73?

There are only 50 questions. A 73 would be like a 940 out of 800.

I think it's like around 43 or 44 for an 800.

if i got a 940 i wouldn't complain

yeah, i meant to type 43, not 73

is it possible that the raw score for this test will go down to 42

i got sin theta - cos theta

the distance from O to the point R is cos theta. (cos t = OR/1). Take the vertical radius. The abgle formed by the top triangle is 90 - t... so the radius is sin theta.. so RT is sin t - cos t

It was the unit circle. If you subtract the leg of the triangle from the radius, you get 1 - leg (which was the adjacent side), so you get 1 - hyp*cos(theta), but the hyp was a radius as well, so you get 1 - cos(theta)

i got 1-cos(theta)

if i got a 720 m2c in october

and

today i got 10 blank and 3 wrong

SHOULD I CANCEL?

10 blank and 3 wrong is better than a 720.
