Teacher Recs: I waived my rights to see them but I think they were fine. Plsu two unique supp recs.
Counselor Rec: Did not see it, I think it was fine
Hook (if any): Really just my extra currics, some legacy
Location/Person:
State or Country: Southern Vermont
School Type: public, and by public i mean VERY public. only 4 ap's offered
Ethnicity: white
Gender: female
Other Factors: lots of legacy (great grandfather, grandfather, four aunts, etc), brother is a junior who was featured in the cover article in Brown Alumni Mag

General Comments: I was disappointed, but my scores aren't great so it's understandable. I guess I'll just keep working on it- other deferrals, are you going to send anything else during the RD wait?
congrats to all accepted, moral support to others deferred, keep on keepin on to those rejected.
3 applied early from my school and all were deferred. My cousin goes to Wheeler School in providence and Brown deferred 6/7 applicants and rejected the last- what's up with all these deferrals? I've also heard that Brown had a 17% increase in ED apps this year. crizzay.

deferred.....uhm...not in the best mood to post my stats.... some other time....
GL to all of you in the same situation as me.... ;)

I seriously stared at the page that reads "Application: COMPLETE" for a half hour, holding down the refresh button, waiting for something to happen.
it's a WONDER i didn't get in.
cheer up guys!!

I'm suprised at all the deferrals. maybe we'll get some clarification after we receive the actual letters :/

Hmm, must be bad luck.
8 out of 8 people of my school got in.

^ i hope its the same for my school at yale.

we were 7/8 Columbia (the other got deferred), and the only kid who applied to dartmouth got deferred. So overall, we are doing great. We'll see about the healthy chunk that applied to penn tomorrow...

my friend got into Brown!

8/9 people at my school, an ultra competitive prep school in MA, got deferred

that sucks

i have two other friends who applied to brown early. one was accepted and one was deferred, like me. at my school, one person applied early to columbia and was deferred, two people applied early to penn and get their decisions tomorrow, 3 applied early to harvard and get their decisions on thursday, and about 12 applied early to yale and get their decisions on friday (two of them are recruited for sports and are really good students, so they're basically in)! i'm so glad that we brown applicatns already have our decisions.. it's nice to not be part of the anxious group of people who are still waiting for theirs.

bptoast, what school do you go to?

*Decision: Accepted *
