I sent my ED application to Haverford at the end of last week. I haven't gotten any feedback from them about if they got it or anything. No log in, no password, no way to check anything. I spoke to my GC and she said that some schools haven't been able to download common apps yet. Does anyone know if this is the case for Haverford?

I know that there have been a bunch of problems with the common app. As you may know, many schools have pushed back their ED deadlines because of all of issues the new common app is causing, and it is likely Haverford has also been impacted in some way. If you are concerned, there is no harm in emailing or calling the admissions office (I have found that they are really nice and helpful).

1) I applied ED just a couple of days ago!!!

2) New York

3) Too many reasons to write, but my top reason for applying ED is the community. Second reason would have to be that the sciences at Haverford are just simply amazing.

3) The overall vibe was definitely the major factor for me. I can’t really put into words what it was about the school. I just knew it was right.

3) I LOVE the community and academic/social Honor Code as well as the amazing sciences! Also, went as a spec to their multicultural scholars weekend about a month ago and just felt at home :)

I just have a quick question. I got my email from Haverford today confirming all the stuff that I submitted. It says that everything is in except there is no reference to Early Decision forms or anything. I called a few weeks ago to make sure that information was in and they told me it was, but I just wanted to make sure I’m not the only one who isn’t seeing anything about Early Decision on their Application Status Page.

If you have any insight, please let me know! Thanks so much!

Yea I got the email as well today, and nothing said that I applied ED. They must just use the same system for RD applicants so it doesn’t indicate your admission plan. Also, ED forms are included on the common app if I am not mistaken. This would mean that the common app would not show your application as finished without the completion of those forms.

All this is just speculation, but I’m sure there is no reason to worry.

I think its somewhere around 40% for ED applicants, which is pretty good. The New York Times reported that for the class of 2017, the ED acceptance rate was 45%.

Has anyone been in direct contact with admissions as to when they’re sending out mail? (Looking at past threads on here it seems they only do mail…)

I talked to my friend at Haverford and he says that admissions has been deliberating all week and as of this afternoon they still aren’t finished. I’m not sure what that means for us, but he believes it is unlikely we will be receiving the letters this week.
