I definitely can relate about the senioritis. I have no motivation to do anything... I just hope we all get good news come December!

not only is senioritis taking its toll, but I am TRYING (cough cough) to get some other applications done in case of bad news...but its incredibly difficult. Whenever I am researching an answer to "why X school", i automatically give up after 10 minutes and go to the Duke website. Its a problem.

Haha, I agree with schoolsearching and RoryDuhMan! It's so hard to be motivated these days... I think we have an early "symptom" of senioritis XD But let's work hard together until the end!

schoolsearching: I thought the graduation project is only for class of 2010 and beyond. We are the last class that doesn't have to do that. Does your school require you to do it?

Anyways, I had my interview a few hours ago. It was pretty good. I was so nervous at first though! But eventually I got used to it. My interviewer was very nice and she was impressed with my web design portfolio. I hope I'll get a good evaluation from her!

Madrigal: yeh your lucky when it comes to the senior project. I had 4gotten about it not being a requirement for the rest of NC until the class of 2010. My county started it a year or two ago as kind of a trial for the state, so yes..im stuck doing it. On top of all the college app stuff and senioritis. Congrats on the interview

~...27 days and counting....~

Good luck to everyone. I can't believe it's the class of 2013 already

reticulum, do you know if the number of applicants have increased despite the financial crisis like some other universities this year

what are we at 26 days now...??

the last week will undoubtedly be the worst

When do we find out, Dec 10th or 15th? I remember reading somewhere that Duke sends out decisions on the 10th even tho they say you find out on the 15th.

26 days and counting....

RDers....100s of days..i dont even wanna bother calculating how many

I'm so nervous about December 15th. Duke is a reach for me and I'd go crazy if they sent me an acceptance letter, but I'd also be crushed if I was rejected, even though it's kind of expected. A deferral would be horrible because then I'd have to wait for months before I found out.

bballer101, where did u read that? i am a duke ed applicant too and so anxious

25 days left? i still cant believe duke almost lost to URI

this wait in unbearable

25 days and counting...

so are they going to admit the same percentage or amount of kids after this 25% increase in the ED app pool?

yeah, i saw the article on the 25% increase... =S

i hope that they keep the same percentage of people admitted ED, but i am fairly sure that they will admit the same total number of kids as they generally do every year, and possibly admit more former EDers in RD than usual. (Since, as I understand it, they have a set number of kids that they admit ED, to make up a certain percentage of the freshman class)

jtop, i remember reading it on this forum somewhere

24 days...
come on!!

23!!!......=/.. =)? !
