Official ED Countdown to Release of Admission Decisions

33 Days until December 15th and counting...

Why dost thou tempt me with thy countdown? I cannot take this madness....

But yeah, I had already calculated the days, and have a running tally on my calendar.

Oh, fun fact: Last year, admissions sent an e-mail in early December saying that decisions would in fact be available December 10th, so perhaps we could get those couple fewer days of wondering as well!

I really hope we all get in. Well, not everybody. Just the cool kids who go on CC. Oh wait...

Schoolsearching, you could use the next 33 days to come up with a new screen name for yourself if you get accepted, since you won't be searching anymore!

schoolsearching, you are always on top of this!

sigh My parents just came to talk to me again about how slim my chance is.... (like that's gonna help me "release" the stress). They are making me apply to more RD schools.

madrigal59, were you able to improve your SATs/take the ACTs? I know you were concerned about them

So have you guys officially been informed that the ED decision release date is December 15th? Because, unless you were told specifically that it was, it could very well be earlier (as eadgbe33 said, we got our decision on the 10th)

You should be getting an email in a couple of weeks letting you know when the decisions will be released.

Good luck ED'ers!
It's always good to see people who are so enthusiastic about Duke that they make it their first choice!

it should be everybody's first choice; Duke is the best school in the country!

this thread just gave me shivers...its far away, yet so soon..

32 days...(unless they are released prior to December 15th; keep your fingers crossed)

31 days and counting...

thanks for handling the countdown update for me rory...i was busy all day and night haha

you guys are too funny :)
well I wish you all the best of luck! hopefully you'll all be blue devils within a month.

30 days and counting....

i kind of wish i applied ED. :(

29 days and counting..

Wow, less than a month now....

schoolsearching: I read that you weren't able to get an interview even though you live in NC and turned in your supplement early. Sorry to hear that..... -.- You are still be an excellent applicant nonetheless :) I have my interview tomorrow evening. I hope it all goes well.

Good luck everyone! As a student employee in the admissions office, I know that each and every one of you is amazingly talented, and even if you don't get into Duke, you're bound to do great things with your lives. I'll hopefully be seeing most of you next year at orientation!

reticulum, how about you just, you know, "accidentally" slide all of our applications into the admit pile?

jk.... that'd be nice, though. or it'd be cool if you could give us some insider info. you know, like insider trading. "hey, guttentag likes XXXXXXX more than YYYYYYY. bet on XXXXXXX getting in."

again, jk. i need something better to pass the time, haha.

28 days and counting....

and yes Madrigal, unfortunately I wasnt able to get an interview. Its probably because I live in a rural area. Oh well, good luck on your interview and I'm just psyched for my decision.

Is it just me, or as my Duke decision looms, Thanksgiving coming up, the Holiday Season all right around the corner...school is just becoming boring and you stop doing homework and paying attention in class. I thought senioritis was supposed to come later?!?!

And not to mention, Graduation Project for NC students which for those of you who don't know is just lots of easy but annoying/time consuming work.
