Thanks parikhs :D That's really nice of you! Good luck to you too :) I'm sure you'll get in.

Ahh, so they probably simply haven't sent out cas or stern decisions yet. That definitely reassures me. Thanks for that.

They probably sent out international decisions much earlier, so it would definitely reach on time before the 15th.

"Ahh, so they probably simply haven't sent out cas or stern decisions yet."

I'm not aware of any NYU policy of sending admission decisions out by school, but maybe they save the best for last..:).

not to scare you guys, but last year they sent out admissions to those who got in first, and then like 3 days later sent out the rejectees (though a handful got in from the second wave, porbably last minute decisions)

they claim its random, im pretty sure it's not.

Ha, don't scare them Matt.
It's quite true though ;) . Rejections are sent later.

yeah. Last year I heard of people getting accepted as early as Dec. 9 and rejections coming as late as like early-mid jan!!!!

I just got into CAS!

Heat24: You should probably list your stats and stuff so it would help others out for future refererence (see form on the beginning of this thread).

Regarding the notion that NYU sends out acceptances first and rejections later, I've heard this from many, but I'm just not sure if it's true. It could be very possible that those who get in start posting about it on websites like this first since they are excited and want to tell the world, while others who don't get in wait a few days or so to advertise their fate.

mattistotle, just wanted your opinion on this. I live in Idaho so I would think it's reasonable I haven't heard yet. Do you know, from what you've heard in the past, when people in the west usually hear? Or anyone else that might know.
