Admitted! fall 2012! Legggooo

Congrats! What time was your decision released? Iā€™m still waiting for mineā€¦

When did you submit your materials?

Officially admitted
I got an email several hours after I saw the decision on Opus.

I submitted all of my materials before March 15 - around the 1st?

hey to everyone who will accept their admission letter we should def k.i.t did any of you get ur credits or fin aid yet ?

Congrats to all who got in!! Still waiting to hear somethingā€¦

do we have to have all of our financial aid info. completed in order to know the decision of admission?

@cbbtrans,

We should! And I called the Financial Aid office today, and they said they havenā€™t even started reviewing my file yetā€¦ So, it should take some time. Same with transfer credits too.

Does anyone have any idea when people who applied past the priority deadline should receive a decision?

if you applied after the priority deadline u find out around June 1 st

how much fin aid did ppl who were accepted get
there giving me 39,000 including like ( 2500 work study and like 9000 loans)
problem is i still like 15 short of the total cost of attendence ) which im super bummed about especially when the av emory grad (after 4 years ) has only 25000 of debt ( ill have more in just one year ) =( im hoping they can do something about this

how is everyone eles aid looking ?

Mine says inquiry deniedā€¦

oh my gosh mine says inquiry access denied on opus too and I donā€™t understand because I applied February 15thā€¦Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s in my mailbox back at school? For those accepted, did you all receive a paper acceptance also or just email?

Just email

leeg92, I called the office today and they said that they would be releasing decisions for us on may 15th

Decisions coming out tomorrow!

Was I the only person that still didnā€™t get a decision today?

i havent heard back either

officially paid my deposit to emory today, im super happy <3. any other transfers accepting their decision donā€™t hesitate to PM me . I literally know NO ONE ! And good look to everyone still waiting !!!

Going to be putting my deposit in on Monday after I hear back from two other schools that I have applied to.
I was very impressed by Emoryā€™s fin aidā€¦
Thankfully, I was awarded 43k in grants, 6.5k in loans, 2.5k in work study, and I have 6k in outside scholarships.
Remember, their COA for 2011-2012 was estimated to be around 56k. But there are factors in there that you can control.

You canā€™t do anything about tuition or fees. But their COA uses their unlimited meal plan, which is about $2,400 a semester. But as transfer students, we can choose smaller meal plans, including ones that cost as little as $1,685 a semester.

As for books, travel and personal expenses, you can make personal choices there and save. For my freshman year of college, they said that we would spend $1,000 in books. By using Amazon and buying used, I spent about $500, and sold half of my textbooks back.
Emory is a great school, and congrats to all who got in!! For those who had less than stellar fin aid, you can make decisions that will allow you to cut costs.
