@2400ismygoal1 I think the curve is based off of how good the scores were for that particular test and test date. For example,If the average score for the test is 1600, the curve will be harsh because the college board will have to recenter the average to be around 1,500

okay heres my idea. go to people who got really close to 800 on a section and then check their answers that they asked about earlier on

Except I think his 800 on the CR was curved because he said Exorbitant instead of Ethereal

What did you guys get for the one question in the carpet passage? It had to do with why her uncles carpet was beautiful. It was either because the carpet was symbolic or cohesive. I put cohesive. Also what did you get for the fill in the blank one that had to do with some lady believing the visual effects were good. I put she was displeased with the actor’s pedestrian acting
I put cohesive but I’m still on the fence- Symbolic seems valid but I just picked cohesive because it fit better with the main idea of the passage
I got -3 CR, -2 WRITING, -2 MATH; can someone roughly estimate my score?
@Nutmmeg That’s what I was thinking. The whole passage was about how her uncle criticized her for her carpet’s lack of cohesion
-2 780 for CR would be incredibly harsh

@Doryphoros If your essay was above an 8, I would guess a 760-780 CR, a 760 writing, and a 760-770 math

@solaireofastora the sentence doesn’t make suggestions about anything being “unnecessarily high,” while delicate and sheer is a more appropriate description
for math fill ins… if I wrote 1.1 instead of 1.10 will it be marked wrong? Please please please don’t tell me that will be considered wrong
