Zogoto--You're publishing in Nature????? OK, so one of many many co-authors, but still!!!!!!! That is seriously insane, congrats man :)

Hey guys and girls! Having an amazing day filled with happiness? I kept singing Ave Maria today. Oh, I had a question. What is the exact date they will mail/email out decisions for regular action? I know it's end of March, beginning of April, but what is the exact day?

E-mail on March 31 (I think), and letters mailed the next day. I think...:p

hehe so back on to Caesar's original post (and since this thread's been hijacked enough before :p), how was everyone's Valentine's Day? :D

Well since you asked, hahhahah. Me and my boyfriend (three years now about to break up because he got accepted into cooper union ED) got some food from the amazing Chilly's and we went to a park. It was dark and cold, but we had candles and blankets. Then we went on the swings and slides and we went home and slept. Hahhahha. Actually slept... so sad. What happened to you guys?

before I opened the EA decision email (which was a deferall, yay) i stocked up on cookies, cake, and chocolate (resses, m&ms, kisses, hershey, smores, godiva, piccomolo cake...hmmmm) just to soak the pain because I thought it was a rejection. oh and I know this important information will help you guys: I got my prom dress....hey hey hey ....

haha. yay!!!!!!! Is it pretty? :p

It's satin and it's white and it's gorgeous. Here's the link .... http://www.dresses.com/wedding11.html and no it does not look like a wedding dress. I am skinny so it's perfect for me. i have to find the shoes though and that is a task even bigger than applying to harvard (but not really). any others get their dresses yet? our prom is early so better to have it now...

Damn, I don't know who wears that to a wedding but I have no objections! Pretty dress :)

And no, I haven't gotten my dress yet...

Wowser! They let you wear that? Freakish conservative Sunbelt suburban high school over here. My prom's in May, or June...I'm not sure...so there's plenty of time to get into shape and look worthy of the dress that I haven't bought yet.

Mhm. Plenty of time to find a dress/tux. Less time, maybe, to find a date....:p

I'm sure you'll find a date...a HOT date.

did u get in Harvard, GuitarManARS?

Sorry for answering for you Adam, but CaesarsLaw, he was deferred EA but he has about a 98% chance regular decision since he's an STS Finalist.

ohhhhh....exciting.... (Adam is a nice name :D)

Sorry, but what does STS stand for?

sts = intel science talent search...possibly the most well known science competition for high schoolers.

Yeah, it is. Whether it´s the best, however, is debatable (personally I think Siemens has potential to become a BETTER competition, but it does have a ways to go).

Caesars--Awesome ;) lol

screw seimens and their 5 regional winner quota.

intel all the way

i have a quick question to everyone on this forum...last year, for ea, were the results similar? like were there also a lot of extremely amazing ppl (IMO, Siemens and the like) that were deferred? Because if not, it might just be a fluke of the the year kind of thing. But if so, it might just be how harvard does it.

Yeah Siemens kinda sucks. No offense Adam (well I guess this shouldn't offend you), but Siemens winners get deferred from Harvard while all the STS Finalists (there are more of them) get in.
