OFFICIAL Harvard HOOK site!!!

like what many people will tell you, you don't find ways to distinguish yourself. you just do.

And community service is bloody boring.

lol. thanks guys for the comments. yeah maybe i need to find my way. someday it will "come" (?)

ugh...this is making me nervous. my hook is that my junior grades were pretty bad. don't even know why i applied to harvard last night..

do you think cheerleading will be a good hook?

me too. how much time do we have until the last update? march? or feb?

so a hook is low income?? Would they already know your low income, or would you have to write about it in an essay??

Would this count?

I have been on a few nationally broadcast radio shows as well as a winner of the World Piano Competition for the highest level possible. I got accepted to the Juilliard Summer Music Academy in Germany, which only accepts 70 conservatory students from all over the world at the age of 14, the youngest ever. I know that isnt on the level of RSI probably, but would that still count as a hook?

I think that would count

lol, are you kidding? That's incredible - of course it's a hook!

No, that's totally average. I mean, you're competing against at least two or three other people in the world who might have similar piano accomplishments. You should have just stuck with Harvard's auto-admit, RSI ;)

I am from international multicultural low-income family, from the country with not too many applicants. I appeared on the 1st channel in the intellectual program as the best senior of the nation, and all won money were spent for charity!

Yeah yeah good, you'll probably get in etc. etc.

VeritaSeeker, I like your user name, very clever. You should let Harvard know about this.

Just regarding the stats of Thelittleone, I looked up his previous posts(as he has few anyway), and saw A LOT of inconsistencies in his posts. The most glaring being that in one thread he called himself an Asian Indian and in another he called himslef a Chinese. He also purportedly took the sat in 7th grade and gotten a 1350(which is amazing by any standards), yet he started a thread asking about the psat and whether or not points are eliminated if questions are answered incorrectly.

And is it possible to be captain of science olympiad team as a sophomore?

Don't get me wrong though. If this person actually exists, then he/she is AMAZING. Any internationally renowned musician at his/her age is basically yoyoma caliber. In that case, I don't know why this person would even worry about getting accepted into a prestigious school. Anyway, if your stats really are as impressive as you claim, good luck littleone.

oh oh i took it in 7th grade and got a 1250.

im cool too! look at me!

haha. nah im cool being just me...God.

Is being a black european entrepreneur a hook?

Especially if you're a legacy recruited athlete.

Well, as for me I have no athletical skills. But I'm good at soccer :P

You mean football ;)
