it was 11, because the paragraph that 11 was in did not have anything to do with 11...sentence one was a crucial summary of the entire passage

I can't remember about 2000, but I didn't get a 25/8 for anyone of them.

no, seth blue, sentence number 1 was just fine because sentence two backed up sentence 1. however, in the last paragraph, the main focus was on the TOURISTS, so sentence 11 about the scientists was unnecessary.

i also got 120 for one of the grid ins

Seth Blue, the first sentence made sense though as it paved the way for the Antartica Treaty later on. I didn't think the scientist one belonged there because the paragraph was about tourism and environment, not scientist and environment.

No one owns antarctica, i believe, is an attention getter and the second sentence refers to it.

@seth blue

truthsmoker is right

Damn, I got 11 at first, but changed it.

25/8 was not correct, you missed the other side of 1/4, it should've been 13/2 for the perimeter.

math curve guesses anybody?

math curves:

1 wrong: 790
2 wrong: 770
3 wrong: 750

just a prediction, the math section this time was harder tahn it usually is.

So what's the final consensus over "what was beginning to" and the contamination/sewage thing? I put "that lasted for days" but many (including my genius friend) put "; contaminations...".

i think i put 26/4., but I don't remember the whole question

contamination is "; contamination" (E)

i think "what was beginning to" is no error but i suck at writing.

@ivyleague

26/4=13/2=6.5

what didn't you just put 6.5? less to grid :)

@Julina

It depends what you consider to have lasted for days, either the sewage runout or the contamination. It really does seem like contamination would last and sewage wouldn't keep running out continuously for days, so I think the semicolon one is correct.

what was "what was beginning to"? and I put E on "; contamination"

Damnit. Any idea about what the writing curve might look like? How have previous writing curves been?

Slurpz, if u just IMed me, please IM me again! The window closed by accident...

@Julina

writing curve also depends on your essay though...so hard to say

well, juliana, i'm not a genius like your friend, but I (as an 80 scorer an WS on the PSAT) believe that it is A, because the other choices were too wordy, and the phrase after the comma after the sentence, itself describes the sewages.

I'm not even sure what I put.
