@jkaz123 I know the best thing to do is wait until Friday, but I am very anxious and I guess seeing that people have these two loan documents worries me. Especially since my portal does not have the two loan documents.
How many people applied ED last year? Almost 2000?
So the financial aid office has to calculate for all of those people. They probably update the portal as they go, and they just haven’t gotten to you yet.
I don’t know, but I would assume so. You’d think JHU would be smart enough not to send out an early indication of admittance. Who knows, though.
@TheUsual all applicants should technically get the two loan docs at some point, but for the applicants that already have all other documents in already. It may take the financial aid office a little while to get through all the applicants to send it out.
I agree with @baribari. It’s surely a loooong process to get these out to everyone. I don’t think they’d do it en masse.
This week is definitely going to be the longest week of my life.
@Anyone know what else we should be looking out for that could prove to be a good sign on Friday
wait i don’t have that form. Does it have to do with your family’s financial status?
@paxer101 he two docs are a possible sign of acceptance
Two docs means nothing. Everyone will have them by friday.
^^ Everything is fine… You guys are finding meaning in something that is meaningless because you’re stressed… It’s okay… You won’t get them today or Monday but on Tuesday your portal may update.
I agree with @Jsteez and @baribari JHU would likely be less subtle about giving away signs that some were accepted.
@Jsteez @baribari @paxer101 are you guys sure, this document seems important especially because it talks about student loans, it doesn’t seem like rejected students would need to worry about student loans
We can’t be sure about anything, but we can tell you what makes sense, and the financial aid office doesn’t know who is going to get accepted yet, so how would they know who to calculate the forms to? The forms will be online for everyone by Friday, I’ll bet. Financial aid office is just covering all their bases.
JHU is also more suave than to lead a little crumb trail that let’s people guess if they’re gonna be accepted or not.
Here’s what I (logically) think happened. On Friday Financial aid starting plugging numbers for random people. Portal updated at midnight, some people see this on Saturday. No portals update over the weekend. After working more on Monday, portals update at midnight, and you’ll see the update Tuesday.
We don’t have the answers for you but don’t worry about this form, okay?
I doubt it’s a possible sign of acceptance.
Here’s some possible signs of acceptance:
Great standardized test scores
Outstanding volunteer service and extracurriculars
Well-written essays
Remind yourself how great your application was, and if you feel that you did the best that you could than that’s a possible sign of acceptance.
@baritenor it just seems that the release of these two docs coupled with the upcoming decision day of ed applications have some correlation.
@baribari it just seems that the release of these two docs coupled with the upcoming decision day of ed applications have some correlation.
I don’t know what you want me to tell you.
@TheUsual Just be patient and prepare yourself for whatever the outcome may be.
