***Official Johns Hopkins Class of 2021 ED Discussion Thread***

Btw, are any of you guys from the NYC area or just NY?

I’m from Pennsylvania, so if you’re from NY, we’re kinda neighbors (kinda)

I’m applying from New Jersey but at an NYC high school

Florida

New jersey

Same!

New York

NJ but I attend a NC boarding school

Anyone know how many kids applied for ed at Hopkins this year?

Nearly 2000 applied last year, and based on trends from the schools that already released ED decisions, that number is only going to increase, so I’d say around 2000 - 2200 applicants (a guess).

My friend just got accepted to Harvard EA!!! Now I reaaaaly need to get into JHU.

Honestly I probably will get rejected. I think the school is so competitive that you literally have got to be the best in everything.

@TheUsual same case here…I have no hope I think…

@KoliInd99 Yeah, especially when I read the college confidential forums that reveal that stats and ecs of accepted students and they are like so much better than mine

Stop! You two are depressing me! Have some confidence.

@TheUsual then again, this site is basically 95% overachievers and only a small percentage of the students that actually got accepted to JHU posted their stats.

30% acceptence rate is actually a lot better than a bunch of other top-tier schools as well.

@HaydenG @jkaz123 still it’s so competitive to get in and when you look at national stats it seems like almost impossible

Especially with such a low acceptance rate

@TheUsual Can you stop with the negative vibe? We are all anxious and you constantly talking about how hard it is and how there’s no hope is really not helping. Just have some confidence!
