@Pinguman123 Why did you say the III. a must (the one with at least 5 states )? May you explain further please ?
@GettingDepressed The smallest state represented had between 0.8 to 0.9 millions of cotton produced (or something close to 1 that allowed it to be represented). If you subtract the TOTAL cotton produced (~14.9? million) by the total on the DIAGRAM (10.75?), you get around 4.15 million, and that divided by 5 gets you something like 0.83 million, which falls just below the range of the smallest represented state’s amount. And when you add even more states (for example, 6 states), the amount produced per state (from a total of 4.15 mil.) gets smaller.
I admit though, that “5” was really ambiguous; had it said “at least 6,” then things would have been much more easier.
Does anyone remember this math question in the first section I believe regarding a circle and 4 points (P,Q,R,S). It had some conditions of PQ=QR, QS=PR , and find QS. Radius was 6
What was the answer for this? Some of my friends said cannot be determined.
It can be; it took me some time though…
@penguinman do you remember any answers regarding the improving paragraph about neolithic farmers?
I also got 2 no errors.
@Pinguman123 I didn’t read the question carefully ,so I didn’t recognize that the graph showed the Greatest number of acres ! Careless blunder
Do you remember the one about the number of interger coordinates in the interior of the triangle ?
@GettingDepressed that was experimental I believe
@Ekeroe No …I had three writing sections, one of which is definitely the experimental …
@GettingDepressed do you remember the exact question? i can’t remember then
@Ekeroe the question gave you the vertices of the triangle (0,0) (3,2) (3,-2) and asked how many coordinates integer will be in the interior of the triangle ? Choices were three, four, six,seven (I don’t remember the 5th choice tho)
@Pinguman123 yes I did get these on the sc
@tigerpillow I went for ethereal
And I remember that both passages focused that horror movies has something to do with emotional reactions or something like that
GUYS REALLY HARD QUESTION , 17th one in grid in (im not sure which countries have it).
But it was like bla bla bla triangle has one side x one side y in 1st quadrant , and the 3rd side has equation 3x+4y=240
what is the perimeter of the triangle?
@TripleKill 3x+4y=240 has x-intercept=80 and y=60…third side is 100 (sqrt(60^+80^)) perimeter 100+80+60=240
Hey guys, I took the SAT today, but seeing your questions (at leat the ones from this page) I don’t remember anything you’re talking about… I’m from Venezuela, could it have been that we had a different test?
At the other hand, as my sister and I took the test today, and she had experimental W and I had experimental CR, I know which are the experimental sections. For CR, one with a passage that talked about an Irish socialist writer that hated everyone (?) (THANKS GOD I DID VERY VERY POORLY IN THIS SECTION) and in writing the experimental was not the one with the passage that talked about e-books.
@mastersat how did you solve for x and y? in your case these numbers will equal 480 not 240
but 3X+4Y for X= 40 and y = 30
then 3x+4y=240
40 + 30 + hypotenuse = 120…
@Pinguman123 what were the no errors? The sentences if you recall them.
Yeah, I think there is a question and the answer is that it cannot be determined
I forget. I was focusing more on CR and math, but I think I got fewer A-no errors on the sentence corrections (1 on the 35Q section, like 1 or 2 on the 14Q section), while I got around 2-3 E-no errors on the error identifications.
@GettingDepressed I put 4. I think the coords that fit INSIDE the triangle were (1,0) (2,0) (2,1) (2,-1)
