awww man i havent taken my ACT this year yet

Composite - 32.0
English- 33
Math - 34
Reading - 28 :frowning:
Science - 33

My first time taking it was last Sep. and i got a 27. This is my 4th time taking it and i’ve improved every time. I know the nerds (sorry. its more to get my point across. Im one too!) on this forum can make things seem hopeless. Just keep taking it. Comfort, timing, and scores will all go up.

On a side note, this was huge for me. 31+ gets me instate at UK. ~10k. Plus other scholarships makes it essentially free tuition. Taking the test a bunch of times is an investment that pays for itself!

Composite - 27.5 (It rounded to a 28.)
English - 34
Math - 27
Reading - 25
Science - 24

Can I get some suggestions on how I can increase my score to AT LEAST a 30?

@Balbina Since reading and science are your lowest, you need to improve your reading speed and comprehension and your ability to interpret graphical representation of information. At this point, you probably should be taking every possible practice ACT you can find. English and Math are more content-driven (grammar and math skills). Read fast, even if you don’t “get” it all, try skimming the section, then read the questions and either answer or look up the answer. Watch a clock and pace yourself. Don’t get bogged down in one selection.

@Maryjay60 Thanks!

first time taking it.

composite: 32
math: 35
english: 34
reading: 31
science: 28

Should i retake?

Hey everybody! I’m a foreign student and I’m having some troubles with a few math probz :frowning:
If anybody can solve them that would have been great!
In a certain rectangle the ratio os the lengths of two adjacent sides is 5 to 2.If the area of rectangle is 90 square feet, what is the length in inches of the longer side?
