Hello. I wonder if the other college your brother applied to is using rolling system, for u can't apply two ED at the same time, I guess.

All in all, congrats!

Alex, you can actually apply to Early Action schools! :p

maybe it was rolling, or maybe it was early action. i dont really know, but i do know that neither were early decision.

Hey hey to everyone. I'm actionrunners brother. Im really glad that i got in to Kenyon. I applied to the other school early, but it was non-binding. It looks like Kenyon will be my choice, and i am indeed happy. Im anxious to know some more about the class of 2010. I am from a small town in southeast Kentucky and have yet to choose a major. I'm hoping that a liberal arts school like this will allow me to choose which one of my many interests suit me best.

HEY ALL! Just like some of the earlier poster I am VERY excited to be going to Kenyon and being in the class of 2010!!

I did ED and found out a week before my birthday (THE BEST GIFT EVER) ... what are people here looking to go into, etc?

I got waitlisted RD. It seems that Kenyon admission officers worked really hard to make decisions this fast. Perhaps the main reason is I need almost a full ride, or maybe Kenyon was not the place for me. I want to go there badly to join you guys but unfortunately I may not :(
However, they asked if I want to remain in the waitting list. I know the chance are really small but I will take it anyway. Any of you guys know if waitlisted students accepted after May 1 got financial aid? I would be really greatful to your responses :)

hey, there are two good news and one bad news for you...
the bad news is that only 1 person got off the waiting list last year.
the good news are: a) He got a great scholarship package and b) you could still be the one student that gets in! also, this guy who got accepted off the waiting list was an intl kid too!

Sorry to hear you were waitlisted. I wish you the best of luck in getting off of it!

Has Kenyon mailed all of its decisions?

jaah: I am so sorry to hear about your wait-list and I am so surprised to hear that decisions are out sooo soon! I think you should just wait on the waitlist and send in any supplementary documents you have or write a letter telling them how much you like Kenyon and stuff like that. I wish you luck in your pursuit of gaining admissions to Kenyon and I sincerely hope that I can get to see you next year. All the best and good luck jaah!! I do hope you that you get in somewhere. :)

Anyway, I just want to tell you that jaah, you still have a chance because Kenyon, unlike many other schools, puts students on the waitlist very conservatively. Which means that when you compare Kenyon with other schools, there are not as many people on the waitlist. Yeah, good luck again! ;)

Jaah, just keep in touch with Kenyon Admission officers and send E-mails to them discribing your progress during these months after you submitted the application. You have to let them know that you are really positive and no shortage of enthusiasm in keep doing something.

We sincerely hope that you are admitted by Kenyon! Best of luck!:)

i know someone who got off the wait list and no financial aid. obviously not the same kid i think i ton get off

DId you get wait listed this year or last year???????

Many thanks to you guys. You are so sweet :). Definitely I will try my best to get off the wait list. I intend to send an intrusmental CD and a recommendation, and ofcourse a passionate Why Kenyon and Why jaah. There is chance and there is hope!
Officegirl2: I sent you my stats/profile. I applied this year, and I was no less surprised when I received the decisions this early. :)

Wow! I can't believe RD decissions are being sent out so soon. I wonder if it's better to hear early or late?
I hope you get lucky and get accepted off the waitlist.
Now there's nothing for the rest of us to do but wait!

Aah! ridiculousnes. do you guys think that b/c internationals are hearing now, that means we might start to hear in the next couple days? how does this usually work? scary, man!

Wow, are just inter'ls being waitlisted and hearing about it now or is everyone getting the wait-list LETTER?

I think that in general colleges tell the international students first. Probably because they want to make sure that mail-wise it all gets there.

intl students have been notified a lil early for logistic reasons so that they can start preparing for college life in the US...
as regards the waitlist thing, from what the associate dean of admissions told me, only one person got off the waiting list for the class of 2009. as it happens, i know one person who got off the wait list and he did get financial aid. maybe she meant only one person who got off the waitlist actually came to kenyon but that was not really the impression that I got from her. either way, good luck to all those on the waitlist.

Hi. I've never been on this board before, but I got into Kenyon ED2 and I soo exited about it. I think I've seen every bit of their website so I googled Kenyon and found this page.

I'm from a suburb of Philadelphia and i go to a small school that I have attended since kindergarden. I can't wait to get to know my new class, to say the least!

Congrats to everyone else!
