Where can i get the cheapest housing, but still relatively close to campus?

@BMWm3Prince I found out through the portal then got an info an acceptance package in the mail a couple days later. Good Luck!!

@uclaBound You know this is a thread for LMU right? As far as housing goes close to LMU… its all pricey. I think the most reasonable would be in culver city, santa monica, or el segundo. I mean Inglewood is the cheapest by far but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. To many gang problems.
Hope this helps!!

Just received a letter in the mail… ADMITTED!!!

Ah, it feels good man. LMU was my number 1, but since then I’ve already accepted UCSD’d offer. If LMU’s financial aid is similar to SD’s then I will totally go to LMU, the problem is I can’t seem to access MyAid. I keep getting “Access Denied” when I click on the link…

Anyone else have a similar problem?

It is killing me that I might not get to to go LMU because of the lack of housing. I’m going to call tommorow and ask them my options, but if I have to live off-campus then I most likely won’t be able to afford it. LMU is my dream school, but I just can’t take out a ton of money in loans as a film student.

During a tour, I was told on campus horsing might cost more then off campus, at least for the apartments,

has anyone received financial aid yet?

I just received my financial aid package and I am shocked at how little they are giving me.

My EFC is 0 and they are expecting me to pay $30,000 a year after federal loans. That is completely crazy. I would be over $60,000 in debt after graduation. I literally got sick to my stomach when I read that.

I guess I won’t be attending.

I waited forever to hear back from LMU… and I GOT IN!!! I seriously can’t believe it. I just submitted my deposit so I guess it’s official!

I got accepted to LMU last week. Submitted my deposit. I never got my financial aid award yet but I also got accepted to USD and they only offered loans. See you guys at orientation

Are u guys planning on living on campus or off???

i plan on living on campus

@MusicOverGunz I know what you mean. LMU was my top school but the financial aid package they gave me was just ridiculous. I would have had to pay $20,000 out of pocket each year and I just didn’t love the school to the point where I would be willing to be in debt forever :b So, I feel your frustrations. I’ll shell out the big bucks for graduate school, but not undergrad.

Best of luck wherever you end up!

i plan on living at home next semester since im from LA just to save some money then hopefully by spring semester i’ll be able to figure out a living situation off campus but nearby.

Anyone living on campus in mckay?

i haven’t heard back from housing yet. how long did you have to wait?

i just heard back today- im living in mckay too

My niece is tranferring to LMU this year, and she was not admitted until July. She was not able to secure a spot in any of the dormitories, now she is trying to find a place to live nearby. Does anyone know where she should look? She has tried Craigslist to no avail. And has not found anything on the LMU housing site either. Any other ideas or does anyone know of anyone who might be looking for a roomate? She is a nice girl, I would like to help her out. She is going to be a sophomore dance and english major. You may private message me if you have any helpful information. Thanks a lot!

Hey so I was just accepted as a Screenwriting major at LMU (I had originally been denied as a Production major) but I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about difficulty/requirements of switching from screenwriting to production once at LMU?
