no i don't think the politics double passage was experimental

was the answer to one of the questions about Dorian Grey in the short passages "overwraught?"

thats what i put basez

^ yeah i put overwrought for the tone of his letter

what was universal truth? i didn't get that as any answer. it could have been experimental.

jake: oh my bad. i used both disaffected and unaffected in my post. I meant unaffected both times.

universal truth was in the second question of the short passage with the young man writing a letter. i don't believe it was experimental.

I distinctly remember the word choice on that problem being "UNaffected," not "DISaffected." If it WAS unaffected, then that choice makes sense. If it was disaffected, then it's wrong. However, I'm about 95% sure that it said unaffected.

The botanist one was slightly tricky, but versatility is the best answer. Yes, it is probably implied that she was original, and curious, and all of that. But the main point of the passage was that Margaret Mee exemplified how one can use talents in many different areas, as she did with art, research etc. One definition of versatile? "Embracing a variety of subjects, fields, or skills." It's a perfect fit.

I remember 6 passages:
Robert Frost
Japanese Girl with the box
The love letter by the boy
the Botanist
Political Passages
The one about charlie and farming and the plants eating minerals and stones

but does anyone remember passage numbers to go with these? Specifically Section 6??

I think everyone had different section numbers, because people had calculators out when I didn't and vice versa.

Also, another passage to add to your list: the machine translating language one.

what was the question for the answer you guys put as brings back bad memories (for the Japanese girl para.)? Does anyone remember the other choices?

Well yeah i think everyone's section 6 was different, i know for me essay was one, math was two, writing was three, four and five idk, six was CR, seven to nine was CR's and math sections, ten was writing...my freinds w/ math experimentals had sec. 6 math and my freinds w/ writing experimentals had sec. 6 writing, and i had a CR experimental and sec. 6 was CR so i assume that was the exp. section but idk...im jsut trying to figure out wat passages those were. anyone remember?

i think that is getting hotter. i thought there was a choice like to expose something about everyones character.

does anyone remember anything more about the question or answer 'universal truth'

The question asked what the last two sentences of the short passage revealed. The sentences talked about how people often blame themselves so that others won't be able to blame them.

it was from the reading on Dorian and his apology. Dorian felt absolved of guilt even though he didn't even send the letter. then the narrator says how blaming oneself makes one feel like no one else can blame you.

oh was criticizing his style of writing one of the answer choices?

and what was the rest of the answer other than 'universal truth'

But doesnt a "UNIVERSAL TRUTH" kinda sound extreme?

I eliminated that choice for that reason

The entire answer was like, the author used a universal truth to show character...or something to that effect

what was the universal truth question?
