Official March 2014 SAT Scores

@RunningForLife I will definitely learn them this time around. I’ve heard Erica Meltzer’s grammar book is great for that, and for math do you think PWN the SAT Math would be the best option? Those are the books with the best reviews I’ve read for the sections I would like to improve.

2220 first sitting. 760 CR / 710 M / 750 W (9 essay). disappointed with my match scores, i’m usually excellent at math but i choked for some reason. i’m pretty sure if i do some reviewing for math i could donk it next time. same with the essay.

Guys relax! Study up and take it in may. Most Ivies would rather have an interesting 2170 over a boring 2300.

^i dont think a 2300 is considered good for ivies… maybe interesting 2170 over boring 2400 is a better comparison?

Ok guys.
CR:630 missed 2 50/50 vocab and probably much more
M:790
W: 710 10 on Essay somehow considering my second body was illegible.
T:2130

I’ll get an 2300 easy now in June. Less pressured and much room for improvements.

for Anyone who was wondering I had 80 mc and 10 essay

reading curve wasn’t too nice either…750 for like maybe 4 or 5 wrong…

@foolish: congratz! 2390 is amazing! hope i get that or higher in june haha

@foolish “I guess you didnt need had” was that for the Montenegro question?

670 CR
710 M
710 W
10 Essay
68 W MC

2090 Composite

Taking it again in October

720 CR
770 M
770 W (75 MC/10 essay)
I seriously don’t know how I didn’t get 800 in Math. ! On my practice tests I’ve never gotten any wrong :frowning:
I was hoping for 800 in writing and at least 750 in CR but I had a hunch I wouldn’t
Anyways
2260 composite, first sitting
Worth retaking for ivies?
Serious question
I’m definitely not taking it in May cuz I need to focus on APs, and I want to take two subject tests on the June date
I’m thinking about giving myself more time (studying over the summer) and taking it in October
I know this is a relatively good score, and it’s kind of in the zone for Ivies, but would raising my score improve my chances of getting in? Is it worth my time to try to get 2300 +?
Thanks!

writing: 680
reading: 670
math: 790

2140 composite
score i needed for a freshman

2400 super scored so at least I got my $1000. 2370 in Jan. and 2380 now. Shanked in CR the first time, writing the second time.

@RunningforLife that is absolutely false. Kids get into HYPS with 2200s and 2100s all the time too. Those extra couple points don’t make a difference when it’s already been determined that the student could succeed at that school, the transcript is more important anyway. Princetons SAT for the average accepted student is about a 750 for each section. An 800 is 75th percentile. And some kids get in with scores below 700. It depends on so many factors.

CR: 750
M: 790
W: 720 (75 + 8)

I got a 2240 (710 + 740 + 790[80+8]) last time, so that gives me a 2330, superscored.
I’m not sure if I wanna retake it or not.
My goal was a 2300 in one sitting, and I’m not even sure if some of the places I’m applying to even superscore.

2400!
Wow, I really can’t believe it. This is my second time. My first was 2120.

2290
CR: 730
M: 770
W: 790

I got a 2030 last time and studied super hard afterwards. I’m glad it paid off. :-)

2070
CR: 720
M:790
W: 560

I don’t even know. Guess I will retake that.
Anyone got tips for the writing?

Is it possible for us to view the actual essay that was written?

@satteacher
I think it’s under the detailed score report, but that’s released about a week after scores are announced.
