I'm so scared. My practice tests are really sucking. I always make stupid mistakes in math when I know i can get ~700. Critical Reading is my worst section though, and these next 10 days i'm just gonna forget about life and practice for this test.

Does anyone know how colleges look at the scores if you take it more than once? I have heard that they look at the best one, but i have also heard that they just look at everything. I think someone on here even said that they take like a super score (best of three sections). Anyway, does anyone know how college admins view them?

I'm worried because I took January and didn't do as well as I would have liked, and maybe I should wait until June...(I don't want to take it three times)

But everyone says to just go for it, so I hope it works out. My only Jan score that really surprised me was CR, and signs point to that being a big fluke (80 points lower than PSAT, 70-100 points lower than any practice test)

Taking it for the first time as well. Good luck to all my score aim is 2200 and but I've hit that only once before on a practice test so it should be interesting.

Planning on taking 2 practice tests today without the CR (800, yay)...and then 2 tommorrow (am and pm) and then sunday (am and pm)...

Realistic GOAL: 2250-2400

last time I took in October after extensive August-October prep (1-2 hours a day for two months), got 800 CR, 640 M, 680 W (8 essay killed me). Hopefully, now that I've covered all the stuff on it for math, I can get a 750+ M, and a 700+ for Writing, OR 750+ and 750+

I'm really scared
I did well on my PSAT but didnt prepare at alllllll.
and so I'm basically screwed

I'm most worried about math, since it's always been my weakest, but also for writing the essay. I just can't write in 25 minutes! I can barely do in class essays in 40...
ack

ServeDin14 - Hoping you get your input. You mention that the March curve is HARSH. I tried starting a thread this AM looking for input on how the months differ in terms of getting a good score. At this point, no responses. Since then, I went on the NET and everything out there claims that it works out the same. What have you heard?

i've been practicing for months, but i still seem to be scared as crap, with the test right around the corner.

it's my first time taking it (junior)

CR - Average: 640 (High 700)
Math - Average: 720 (High 760)
Writing - Average: 750? (I haven't really done the essay, but just a rough guess)

am i in decent shape?
the goal is 2250+

my main question is about the curve. how are they on each respective section?
i figure if the curves are halfway decent, I can score close to my practice test highs...maybe?

^ Math is a lot harsher than the curve CB gives in the bluebook. Like, you know how if you get 2 or 3 wrong you get 720-780 or something? you're much more likely to get a 720.

I got Q & A back from Oct '07 and it was a ridiculous math curve (i think you had to have less than 3 wrong to get over 700)
