Other thoughts: Not really suprised, hoping for some RD luck

no - it's not a joke - at least I got out of it, right? needless to say my interview was interesting

In all fairness, we probably shouldn't count members who joined just to post in this thread. Because, with the exception of a few, like the person two posts above me, I doubt many people will join to announce that they were deferred.

Yeah, Spartan Pho3nix is right. If you're counting acceptances and deferrals of board members, you shouldn't pay attention to my post (even if I am an exception).

Definitely....

So many new members joined to post their acceptences...I doubt anyone would join to post a deferral or rejection.

Actually, the EA results were extremely surprising! So many of the people I'd expected to get in (won't give names) were deferred! It's truly surprising. Maybe MIT's looking for a new dimension this year. Possibly diversity (they did admit an all time high of URM)? Any ideas?

Ok I finally got my letter so that I can post my info:

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I was hoping for a miracle which obviously didn't happen. I'll send some additional stuff for regular review, see what happens. Congratulations to those who made it, you guys are amazing (and girls)

zking, agreed - CC EA results were very surprising. Eh, idk, I'm really not sure why. The sample of ppl I've seen from the mymit guestbook for acceptees include many URMs and more surprisingly, athletes. It'll be interesting to see which CCers get admitted in RD tho. Mhm I wish I could just read the adcoms' minds when theyre judging apps.

Horray for the old CC members =)
