@Betty5201 What? Who was that message intended for?
How did you already hear back from Emory given RD release is this evening? They have only ED1 and ED2, no EA.
@CGHman search online ‘likely letter’ to get answer.
Do you guys know if they released admission statistics?
I am still having the same problem where my NetID and activation code isn’t working. Is anybody else having this problem? How did you guys deal with it?
@CGHman Emory released the decisions for the finalists for their Scholars program back in February so it’s possible they could have gotten in thru that
Congratulations! Rice/Baylor BS-MD is too good to pass even for Ivies. T20 undergrad and one of the best medical school, both housed next to world’s largest medical district. BCOM is very affordable for a top private medical program.

Did you guys get an email from northwestern since your acceptance?
Thanks, @CupCakeMuffins! I completely agree about Rice/Baylor; it’s an amazing opportunity and I feel exceptionally lucky to have been admitted :).
My son was able to access the admitted students portal with NetID and temp password, but he cannot see his financial aid. It shows as “Inquiry access denied”
Ha. Nope. The poster who claims he is from a country(that does not exist) and got very very low everything but got in everywhere. There was even more ridiculousness.
@Betty5201 What was even more ridiculous? I was positive that was the craziest post I had seen.
kiribati does exist lol. i do however agree that the post was wack
It exist in middle of pacific ocean, closer to NZ and Aussies than mainland US.
@NascarFedex I had the same message all of yesterday when I tried to view aid, but today it allowed me to view aid. I think they are still uploading aid letters so I think in the next few days you will be able to access it.
Also, does anyone know if the financial aid office is good with appeals? I was admitted yesterday and NU is currently my top choice, but I would probably need about $10k more aid than what they offered me to be able to attend without putting a burden on my family. What would be the best way to approach the office about this?
“Waitlisted
Accepted: MIT, Rice/Baylor BSMD Program,”
This looks like yield protection, using the waitlist to see if you’re really interested, assuming you’ll get into a place like MIT.
“there’s the dream school, which Northwestern is for my S, but then there’s that darned financial reality that prevented us from doing ED.”
Exactly, you don’t want to lock a family in to a school’s FA package and lose the ability to compare FA packages. It’s not just NU, but any school that has ED.
Its a misrepresentation for school like NU, as NU provides need based aid for every eligible student, up to full ride, so a financial is not a burden as being portrayed for a ED.
