@dannyo95 Do you know if UMich freshman DECISIONS are coming out tomorrow?

@jackson61 they might because umich always releases decisons on fridays

I hope they release today. I’ve been a nervous wreck all day.

True, but I’m still a bit wary. There must be a reason why they said last week of March. Also, as someone said before, apparently not all decisions have been made…

Wait why do we think it’s today as opposed to tomorrow? Doesn’t the quarter end tomorrow?

Decisions usually come in waves…if its today…some will get today…others tomorrow

Wait…I thought they came in waves over a couple of hours, not over two days…

And @cocoa546, exams do end tomorrow but a lot of people here seem to think it will be tonight…I certainly hope so.

from the past times its in waves of hours. .which extend to the next day

Penn and Princeton have already sent emails with exact links, telling applicants also the exact moment that they can check. UChicago was at least forthcoming a few days before announcing… and they were at least willing to narrow it down to a window of a few hours. Clearly, other elite colleges can finalize their admission decisions efficiently and also keep applicants updated as to when to expect a decision. It would be nice if all colleges were willing to do so. Yesterday, two parties affiliated with NU admissions told us two very different things… one said that the decision will come in late March to early April and that they as a policy do not announce a specific date or time. The 2nd person said that the decision would come March 20th-26th, refusing to say anything more. Clearly, NU has every right to handle things as they prefer to… but again, it would be a nicer or more sympathetic approach to set a defined announcement date and then simply stick to it. Hopefully it will in fact come today or tomorrow at 6pm EDT.

i have calculus exams tomorrow and i have to stay up till 1am for the decision

@WWWard, what do you mean that Princeton sent emails with exact links? I applied RD this year, and I haven’t gotten any email since I submit my application in december. when did those emails go out?

Well, if it takes 7 hours of more for my email to come/link to work, I’ll certainly be angry…lol. ;)

My D received that email less than 30 mins ago from Princetom. Penn sent it to her on March 12th. So far, Brown, Columbia and Dartmouth have not sent such emails with specific links to check.

In total… Princeton has sent her 4 emails since she applied in October. I would just make sure your email is registered and showing as the current email for communication to you…

Did they say last week of March last year also and yet release it on the 21st?

@RainMan999 I don’t know when they said it would be last year, but checking last year’s thread, they released on Thursday the 21st, beginning around 5 PM CST (I just checked my email and had a heart attack when I did have a college email!..just not from Northwestern). Interestingly, someone who called two days prior was told decisions would be released later in the week, but an alumnus who called the day of release (only a few hours prior) was told they would be released the next week…just goes to show that we should take what they say with a grain of salt.

here, what’s all this abt princeton sending emails? I havnt gotten one email from them since January.

As I said before… My D received that email today around 130pm from Princetom. Penn sent it to her on March 12th. So far, Brown, Columbia and Dartmouth have not sent such emails with specific links to check.

In total… Princeton has sent her 4 emails since she applied in October. If you are not getting emails, I would just check with them online and make sure that your email is properly registered with them and showing as the current email for communication to you…

Good Luck

Northwestern never tells you the exact date, which sucks. I called the office ON THE DAY I GOT MY ED RESULT and they told me it would be “next week”. So it was a real shock when I got the email later that day… And that was the Thursday before first quarter ended. I am pretty positive results will be out either today or tmr
