I called BU admissions today and asked them the date of online notification/snail mailings. The officer said that the letters are being mailed out on Monday, March 27th, and they will be online that same day.

This will make for a long weekend.

What??? That's BU--I mean, BS!!

^ Lol. Cute. :p

hvdesai: Thanks for giving us the inside scoop. Wow, that's really late! I thought they would be online this week, oh well... :(

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Wow, that is really late compared to the date of some other schools.

I think it's really early compared to the date of other schools I applied (3/30, 4/1 & snail mail in early April)

Will scholarship applicants hear the same day (March 27th)?

thanks for the info. i've been wondering! :)

wow that's awesome news!
we'll be hearing on monday!

This is unbearable.

it will be an ubearable weekend for sure. i can't wait. i won't be able to sleep on sunday. do you think they will post them at midnight?

Today bu admissions told me "next week" and wouldn't commit to a day. So...who knows for sure?

Ok, after some confusion with my financial aid, I got a letter from BU saying they didn't have my PROFILE. We submitted it to today - how can it possibly be considered in time?

Also, do you have to apply for a scholarship to be considered for one? I it would be nice to get some money, as it might sway me to BU.

I think everyone who applies is considered for merit-based scholarships. Here is the link: http://www.bu.edu/admissions/apply/scholar_merit.html

i hope they post them at midnight...
do i need to apply for merit scholarship after i got admited to this school?
man. im so behind...

AH.

I hate online notification.

No, you don't. You are automatically considered for a merit scholarship during the admissions process.

Edit: Like last year, they will probably be posted at some random time (I have heard of 2pm, 3am, etc.)

chc2006, you don't have to apply for the smaller scholarships. you are automatically given consideration during the admission process.

however, if you wanted to get one of the 2 kinds of full-tuition scholarships (mlk and trustee - both are VERY competitive), you had to write an extra essay and send your application in before December 1.
