I was he wanted her for himself. II was he thought the suitors were better than him. III was he envied her fame. I had no friggin idea, except that I was true. Think I left it blank.

I and III?

Ok I'm late on joining this thread... but I seem to lie somewhere in between everyone's opinions. For the log question... I got corpse. I put old person at first but after re-reading it i was 98% percent sure it was referring to a corpse. Fallen--- Dried out.. etc.. Plus I feel that poem was about the potential brevity of life. (quasi- carpe diem.), so a corpse made sense.

Secondly, although I wasn't positive, I put that kid jones was "weighed down" by the music. It put a damper on his mood and put him down and I felt that "elemental force" was horribly worded... So if that's right... I'd be annoyed.

“for the trumpet one: why was "beating" used instead of beat?
- Zora one: what was the reference to the "God" supposed to reveal? answers were how dispensable human life was, malicious god etc etc.
- Pygmalion: what did "furious" mean?”

trumpet—the immediacy of the beating

God- I was really confused by this… nothing seemed correct.. but since she started the sentence about God with “perhaps” and ended it with “who knows” I put that it suggested that human individuals could be entirely … something haha.

Furious was intensity.

Aanndd finally I felt the last passage was meant to evoke sympathy for Jones.

Now I have a question... This was really easy but what did you all put for the subject of the sentence in the Iron horse?

"seems" maybe? does that sound familiar?

that iron horse one was hard, I'm pretty sure I guessed

what if i left like 13 and get like 4 wrong max...what score wud i end up with?

670/680ish I think

i didn't leave any blank.... but i think i got like 20 wrong.... so what would be your estimate for my score?

According to princeton review.... that would be a raw score of 35= 620

thanks a lot!

hmmm i dunno what i'm gonnna get...but i wanna know really bad lol

i found the test reasonable except the iron horse passage which i totally screwed- i just couldn't understand any of it at all. i just filled in answers which made anysense , don't know what to expect after the october sat score disaster. :(

I think I'm no exception here. The iron/horse actually looked like the easiest to me at 1st, since it seemed to be revolving around only 1 major idea. Yet as I go through the questions, I think I was screwed. It was utterly confusing. But anyhow... I didn't do any revision for this test. Whatever I'll get in Dec, I deserve it lol

Barron's is a good book to study for the literature exam, right?????

I liked Kaplan a lot more.
