Just did it ! yay...What does everyone think of this one compared to past ones?

i thot it was ok. i omitted a few tho.. like 6-8 u think its still possible to get an ok score that way? i mean at least a 650....??

Man I'm taking it tomorrow, nervous though.

Oh yeah, do we have to know any special literary devices?

theres only like 2 questions on literary devices
no need to be nervous! its just another CR.
elodie: you can still get like 700 if you get all the other questions right!

I hated the egyptian bottle fish thing...DAMN that!

I'm supposed to get to the test center in 1 hour. So nervous!

SO HARD! I think I really badly. Can you find out what score you got on it and decide to cancel after finding out as senior?

This test was much easier than the last one I took in June or something. Hopefully my retake score will be higher.

I did so BADLY on today's lit test. I kept cursing Princeton for requiring 3 SAT subject tests, because I'm only good at two subjects lol. I'm thankful that the only school it really matters for is Princeton (which I won't get into anyway) because the rest only require two SAT 2's...

It was the first time I took it, but I didn't think it was too bad. None of the passages were very difficult, and a few were very easy. Does anyone have any idea of a general scoring curve?

" elodie: you can still get like 700 if you get all the other questions right!"

considering he only ommited 6-8 questions, i hope the curve is better than that.

I found it to be really hard...and I got an 800 CR with very little studying.

ETS has a great knack for picking abstruse (Egyptian one) passages and then asking highly subjective and speculative questions with poorly worded answers.

Can we talk now about the test questions or passages or is that cheating by ETS standards?

I'm not sure, but I don't think we should be talking about specific questions or passages just yet. In the U.S. all tests should have at least started, but I'm not sure about tests for international students.

What the..? That test was awful.

I'm in AP English 12 now (focuses primarily on poetry, literature, so on so forth), and did quite well in CR on the regular SAT, but... CRIKEY.

I thought the Lit test was hell. Charles' hands on fire? A man inspired by fleeting geese? A Nemo-inspired Egyptian drinking glass? Collegeboard deserves to be slapped.

That's okay, though. It was my last SAT II. Last standardized test period. I'm over it.

Just got back from the test center. I thought the test was hard as well. >.< There were SO many questions that I was unsure on, and I have to agree that the wording was rather confusing. And now that I'm home, I keep doubting my answers and everything. Ugh. I'm really eager to discuss the passages/Qs right now too. But I suppose I'll wait until there's a green light.

BTW, in another thread, Son of Liberty said that the Lit curve is nice. If u get above a 45/60, u should be in the 700s. Of course, who knows what the curve for this one will be? Good luck to everyone!

well, it was my first time taking the sat lit. test. i ahve to say that the passage and poems were deffinitely less vague than the ones i've seen in prep books. i just felt as if things vere clearer and answer choices a bit less ambiguous.
to tell the truth, i've found the passages quite intersting, but maybe it's just me. the knitwork passage was especially relaxing

i went in completely blind (no prep at all), but i didn't think it was so bad. of course, that may just be because i bombed the USH immediately before it, and anything was better by comparison.

that was extremely difficult
800V...probably low 600s on this.

People in other threads have already posted answers to other test Qs, are we allowed to do the same now?
