does anyone remember the vocab question about the photographer being different because he had some ____ quality. I think i put fleeting because none of others looked remotely right

no the purpose for the black interview passage one was to understand the lives of the black expatriate. that was the whole point of the passage and meeting baldwin

really?^ But most of it was about hoe he would think the whole research through (i.e mentally) before actually doing anything. But maybe I read wrong...and I probably did.

i got fleeting, too, but damn. i was gonna put that for the black interview passage...i was stuck b/w c and e and didn't know which one to choose. ah crap.

agreed with flong. the purpose was to look at lives of the black expatriates 'cause Baldwin and Baker were both expatriates.

okay well i put the answer that was something like african american living outside of the US i'm not sure if that was the same answer as you guys are talkin but it seemed the most correct. (again im always using the most correct answer) becz it never mentions how or why those people left america just the fact that they did

expatriate means a person who lives away "from their fatherland." I put in quotes the literal latin translation. Even more literally, "the land from which they were had by their fathers" (Where they were born) I put the answer about leaving the US, which seems most correct because the reading gives evidence that both Baker and Baldwin left the US. For all we know, they both could have been born in France.
