Official November 4 SAT Math Thread

why did i not get any of these problems?

i did get 1/24 though

That was to the four letter problem and was correct jjchase.

for a-c did everyone get 30?

it was a triangle a and c were angles
it was a 'special triangle' but i used trig functions

wasnt it something easy like 60-30=30

yay :)

im trying to think of more problems...

umm gridins i got 112 for something, no clue and 38 for another
not sure the problem though

lousyanamom,
no i believe i put 3 or 8 but it can't be 0 because it said a positive integer and 0 is not positive.

Excellent! Back to one wrong!

why isnt there more discussion...

did people decide whether there were completely different tests?

i don't recognize some of these math and i had experimental, and i don't recognize some cr.

also, what was the answer to the very very very last math problem?
it was something to do with:

(a, 3)
(4, c)
and the slope was perpendicular to
y=-1/4x+something
solve for c

which letter did you guys answer? A?
i can't remember what i put.
i got frazzled and thought it had to do with fitting
to a line, but didn't know where the c came from
until i read it again.

also, it was x+y<8 for sure.
i solved with inequalities for x
and solved again for y,
my ti-89 ti came up with
x < 4
and
y < 4.

thus, only x+y<8 could work.
sorry, gyros and tangy.

aww **** i think i answered 20 pi, instead of 10 pi. and that answer coutned for sure?

systems of equations -
2 equations,
how many possible pairs of values?

**** **** ****, i think i put more than 3.

edit:
it was like

4x + 2y = 6
?x + ?y = ?

Karch but it was x < 4 and y < 4.333. I already know I got it wrong. But how the heck does that work? THey did not ask for integers. You could do 3.999 and 4.3332 and have a number > 8. You dont need a calc anyhow.

yep i had it and i only had 3 maths

the one youre talking about is -4a+19

gyros i remember it being x<4 and y<4
not to put my word over yours, but it was roughly question 12; i dont think they would make it 13/3 as opposed to 12/3

dude it was 13/3.. i never make a mistake about things like that. I know for sure that Y COULD be greater than x but not always (hence x < y is not correct).

the answer was -4a-16, no?

or was that not a choice

-4a+19 was correct

if u made a=2 then c would be 11

-8+19=11

which letter answer solution was it?

edit: okay, right, it's -4a+19.

i answered c, i think.
