I second what aleyna22 said - the grid ins on the M tend to be much easier then they appear! You almost have to train your mind to think “simply”!

My CR and Writing scores are all over the place. I’m kind of worried for Saturday. But I do think that the SAT’s from ~2000-2003 and before are generally a little harder than those from 2005 onward.

What do those years have to with 2012? lol…

I have something to ask! I have got my SAT online score report but it dosnt give details on my wrong answers and all…I dont understand this. Can anyone please help? what is the use of online score report really? got the essay though

I think the administered test will come out in a few months and then you can check your wrong answers…?

will nov sat be postponed because of hurricane sandy tho? i live in nyc…-_-

@jingzheng, that’s what I’ve been wondering, I live in NY too…

Go to the College Board website. Click on SAT in the top left hand corner, and it will get you to to the page with a link (on the right) where they will be posting information on the hurricane affected test centers.

I have a question: I found out that I missed one (one!) question on the writing portion, but I made a 7 on my essay. This was really surprising to me because I’ve always been the best writer in my class. I won 4th in the state for an essay competition and I made a perfect score on the Georgia writing test…
But I can’t write a darned SAT essay. Is there some kind of trick to it?

@aleyna22 - yes. Often times the best writers are some of the worst at writing SAT Essay’s (not to say you good SAT Essay Writers are bad writers). It’s all about a formula: Intro - agree or disagree with the posed question.
Body 1 - STRONGEST example
Body 2 - SECOND Strongest example
Body 3 - THIRD Strongest example
Conclusion - 2-3 sentence restatement
The more you write the better!

Look at this guide - it’s really helpful:

2 Things To Remember:

Write Legibly. They get paid based on how many essays they grade so they go superrr fast. If they can’t read a thing, you’re done.

I suggest you use 2 examples. It’s easier for them and you. You will be able to elaborate more and make your conclusion strong. Use 1 very well Academic Example pertaining to current events and the second one as an anecdote or something interesting.

-- just my take on it, take it or leave it.

So I was just informed that my november SAT was pushed to nov 17 due to hurricane Sandy anyone else in the same boat as me, im excited though i could study and there is no school so no school work in the way of that either :D

Lucky… Nothing happens in the South…

They are going to give us a new test, right? Or is there a possibility that it will be the same one given on 11/3?

Well - just found out my test was moved to Nov. 17th as well …

@mas1996
We will definitely get a new test - I don’t think CB would risk having the answers be the same/etc.

good luck to everyone taking the test on Saturday!
