OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2014 SAT THREAD (International students)

are you sure it said even???

What was the answer for the one that had a circle and two triangles?
S(sqroot2)

Im pretty sure it didnt mention the some as to being even

Sum** 10char

Mate, it provided an example of 52 in that question. Therefore, no, it did not mention anything about the sum of the numbers being even. Don’t confuse us. The answer is 995. Certain.

Is there any place where I can find the answers?

it seems that on the google docs, there is only one more disagreement. is it confusion or excitement? can anyone confirm this question, anyone took the december us 2013 test?
also wonder and regret or blame and pessimism?

Here are my answers: 995=9+9+5=23. Sure about it. We need to first of all find the greatest prime number less or equal to 27. So it’s 23. And then we have to find the GREATEST number whose sum of digits would be 23. Obviously, to make the number larger we need to start with 9. So 995.
The next question about graph with a negative slope. Answer is 3rd ONLY. Because a/b which is a slope must be negative. Both of them can’t be negative or positive. That leaves the single choice.(c is positive)
The answer for semicircles p
The answer for how many … 552 22233=I got FIVE(90 percent sure)
The answer for the radius of cylinder in cube 0.79=1. Answer is one?
The answer about probability 2/3 about odd numbers.(Some may misread)
The answer for reflection 3(Here’s my stupid mistake)
For age group 70-79
Vanille chocolate 15 percent
For Brown Pie chart 3/10(grid in)
For coins less than 40=29

The area of shaded region(big triangle)=3a

k^2

The one with the cylinder insida a cube was 2
I think

@blahblah97‌ would you please post the link to the google docs? Thanks!

I also got 2 for the radius of cylinder! im pretty sure its 2.

For the writing one, one writing was section 3 and the other was section 5. is section 3 or 5 the experimental. I thought section 5 was harder but isnt the teal writing section usually in the middle?

The time travel passage is the second writing section for me. So did any of u guys with math experimental even read about this passage? (There are two different exams. my essay was on uncertainty)

Someone deleted everything in the Google doc

@Eljui7‌ OMG, did the question ask for the prime number or the number less than 1000? I mean were we supposed to grid in 23 or 995?

I got the correct answer but I’m not sure what I gridded in. :/

it was 3 digit number less than 1000 that makes biggest prime number so it’s 995

I think everone has that prime ans messed up.
They asked for A PRIME NO. that ADDS UPTO another prime no.
995 Isn’t a prime no.
So the greatest no then becomes 991 because it is prime and adds up to make a prime!

They provided example and it wasn’t prime number.995 i’m sure. Ket’s discuss the cylinder
