^Helpful answer, thanks.

Fourth time taking the ACT, second time taking it for applying to schools (first two were for a local talent search program).

My Goals:
-Take the writting section for the first time. My state requires that each student takes the ACT as a junior, but only the MC portion. I’m not too nervous for this for I’ve done well on the writting section on AP exams, but I still will prep for it in hopes that my average won’t go down.
-Improve my CR score. I did not finish the section last time I took the test and my score suffers as a result. OK, I got a 28, but I want to get that up to at least a 30.
-Get a composite score of at least 33. It sucks that ACT doesn’t superscore since I had a perfect science section last time, but since I know each section will go up and I did very little extra to get the perfect score, getting above the 32 I got last time should be a snap.

junior taking it for the first time in october. just your average white male who probably will get a mediocre score like I do in everything else in life.

all i know is that there better be a better curve than the September ACT in English and especially reading section. I got the score I wanted in science (33), but I got stuck with a lot of 31’s, probably just breaking under the curve for some of the sections. Plus, I had mono during the sept ACT lol so i think ill be a little more awake this time around…

How is everyone getting this super high scores. I studied hard for it and got a 20. I guess I am dumb…

Senior taking it the first, time right now at around 30
neeeed 33!!

Yeah, I’m pretty much super-nervous. I put off all of my standardized testing until JUNE of my junior year… so the only test that I’ve taken so far is the June SAT (note to anyone: don’t do this). I didn’t do so hot on that, and I decided to take the ACT instead, because it would replace subject tests. Even though I am applying RD, I think that the December 11th date (with writing) is cutting it way too close (especially since some of the schools I’m applying to have a RD date of December 1st). So I decided to take the October test, and I’ve just been so busy with school I haven’t had much time to study. Now I’m so nervous that I’m almost shaking when I think of it haha. I’ve only gotten to take one practice from the Red Book, and I got a 27. Kill me. I need a 29 (at least). Now there is less than a week left. Ughhh colllegeeeee.

I took a test from PR’s 1296 book and got a 31 (34, 30, 30, 28). Unacceptable as far as I’m concerned. I want to be scoring a 33-36, but the math and science sections always bring me down.

I am taking it for the first time on Saturday. I’m a junior but graduating early so this is pretty much my one and only shot. Well, maybe Dec if I feel like I completely bomb it.

I seem to score pretty well on the actual ACT tests (practice booklets from prior years and the red book) but I fail horribly on all of the others (PC, sparknotes, etc.) Seriously hoping that’s a good thing… Reading is without question my worst section.

I’ve called up the college I’m planning to send my ED in, and they do consider october 23 ACT.
I think you guys should call up the respective colleges to confirm. Every college has a different policy and hence you can’t get a generalised answer for that.

I’m taking it on the 23 of October (tomorrow) as well and I really hope to get a score of 35 or better. I’m doing writing as well, and this is my first time taking a full ACT practice or not. Oh well, I hope I do alright. :D

hoping for a 30.

can you guys predict my scores??

English -6
Math -8
Reading -3
Science -5

Same here, how do you predict based on what you got wrong? i posted my “prediction” for this ACT but i just totally made up those numbers lol.
If i got English -4
Math -8
Reading -8
Science -7
I didtn get to finish the last 3 sections so yeah…very bad. i’m hoping that’s at least a 27 or 28?

Also, how do we see our scores online whenever they go up?

Well, I have practice booklets that have score charts in the back. I don’t know how others do it, but I assume they’re doing it my way too.

English -6 = 32
Math -8 = 30
Reading -3 = 33
Science -5 = 29

and

English -4 = 34
Math -8 = 30
Reading -8 = 29
Science -7 = 28

Roughly.

To see your scores online, just log into your account at actstudent.org

I’m took it for the first time, but I’m not too worried. I got a 2170 on the SAT in June (which was also my first SAT), and all the colleges I want to go to are fine with that. If I can get above a 33 though, I’ll be pretty exited.

Hey when is the earliest time to check scores online?

1:00 EST 2 weeks from today.

^7 or 8 November?
