OFFICIAL, OFFICIAL RD DECISIONS - Vassar '14

hopefully that mail reaches green bay wisco tomorrow then

Rejected :(

OMG so many rejections…and waitlist stinks too…then u need to put a deposit on another school and run the risk of losing it if you change your mind for Vassar. I doubt my son got in! It was a reach for him…

Idk my pin number or ID. when were we supposed to receive those?

I live in NYC and didn’t hear anything =[

Wait, is that for everyone or just international students? Because I know last year they didn’t have email, just snail mail.
thanks so much

accepted! got the package this morning. waitlisted from wes.

I’m from NYC too and didn’t hear anything yet either. =/ Nothing in the mail, and no e-mail… Maybe tomorrow… crossing my fingers!!!

live in CT.

pin and ID are the same.

logged in with no problems.

ooh i didn’t hear anything, but i can log into the accepted students page. hahaha, does that mean something? oh well, guess i’ll just wait. xD

oh, you didnt want to know my SAT scores? haha

Good luck! hope you get in :)

I’m pretty sure you’re in BigPeePee, all the pieces fit for you. Unfortunately, I’m starting to think that the “invalid” in the login page means you’re rejected, as much as I hope that isn’t the case. This really isn’t how I wanted to find out my rejection. I still have my fingers crossed, but barely.

mm1234, I live in CT too but I didn’t get a letter today in the mail. What part of CT do you live in?

(for my son)

**Decision: ACCEPTED **

so if we can log in does that mean we are in? Because my log in works and I don’t want to freak out prematurely

I was never able to get in to that page and I was waitlisted. Draw conclusion to that as you will.

decision:rejected.anyway i was an international with need

rejected: an international with need from Taiwan :(

This what my decision letter says, “Applications to Vassar reached an all-time record high level this year, with more than 7800 candidates for a freshman class of 660 students.”
So this year’s acceptance rate is around 8%?? I remember last year’s was like 20+%!
I got Amherst’s decision today as well, it’s said the acceptance rate is about 5%. Why do acceptance rates drop so dramatically?

I was accepted yesterday via snail mail (I live in CT). To answer some of the people who posted previously I tried the congrats2014.vassar.edu login before I received my letter and I got the invalid page so i don’t believe it’s a set in stone indication of acceptance. Good Luck Everyone Else!!!

Beaudisaster, this is GREAT news! Gives me a bit more hope. Thanks for posting!
