@ConstructorA i don’t have enough posts for private messaging… but yes! i think it’s true

^Relax! I know one guy who is applying to Huntsman and lives in Montana. But just because both of you are from Montana doesn’t mean they’ll have to choose between one of you.

Lol Aaron, Penn does use some really loose form of quota for sure! best of luck! I just realized how incoherent I am sounding in my posts, I hope you guys forgive my sloppy writing, I havent had a lot of sleep and am totally tripping.

@wharton17 i’m applying to wharton too! if all goes well we might be classmates :O

I agree with Foxtails. Emphasis on a LOOSE quota system, I’m sure that the numbers can change +/- a good 3-5 per year. Here is a table of states and people accepted from last year. In no way is this final or a quota but gives a rough understanding of how many they accept.

Yeah, hopefully Whateven! That would be really cool!

did they say it was going to be the 12th?

I feel like it is going to be the 7th just because of the sheer number of times it has been mentioned on CC.

let’s hope for an email tomorrow then! (with the official release date info)

Going to pray for divine intervention now…

im soooo scared right now, its not even funny

I’m seriously doubting it will be the 7th. I mean, I’m pretty sure they’d give at least a week’s notice in advance before the decision, and the 7th is less than 3.5 days away now.

Hopefully we get the email tomorrow

Any word on the dates for Columbia, Dartmouth, or Brown? Penn’s ED decision date is usually within a day of–or on the same day as–those schools.

Columbia is releasing theirs very early this year - the 6th.
Brown’s tentative date is on the same day as Penn’s.
Dartmouth is the 6th at 4pm.

The 7th seems unlikely now. I follow Penn’s school newspaper and one of the articles published yesterday notes:

“A host of new prospective Quakers came to campus Saturday, even though early decision letters won’t be sent for another week.”

^ I agree that the 7th is unlikely at this point. They announced the 12th only last Thursday–with a precise time of 6 PM EST–and I can’t imagine that they’d suddenly move it up 5 days with little warning. Maybe a day or two–to next Tuesday or Monday. But you’ll find out soon enough when you receive the email they promised to send this week. :)

i just called the admissions office and they said that the official final release date would be the 12th, so i dont think theyre gonna change it.

^Well, that’s a bummer. If it was a Friday, we’d at least have a weekend to recuperate before school. Ah well, c’est la vie.

So, so, so unprepared. I do wish decisions were released on a Friday; that would give me time to get over my rejection.

Yeah, but hey I could always be wrong haha. Lets hope so!

13 people (that i know of) have applied to Penn ED from my school… yeah the odds are not in my favor
