That’s impressive.

just got back SAT II’s so hell yea I’m applying SECA. Good luck everyone and hopefully I’ll see yall there

I applied SCEA and got in. Best decision ever - senior year was done on December 15.

As the school year draws nearer, my trepidation and excitement are increasing more and more. I can’t wait to send in my SCEA app to Princeton and yet, I’m extremely scared at the same time. Sometimes I feel like the college admissions system is unnecessarily hectic especially since not getting into Princeton should only matter for one day or, at most one week, from April 1 till April 8. Don’t get me wrong, it is my dream to go to Princeton but, at the same time, it’s not an obsession. 'Cause those are unhealthy.

Don’t get ahead of yourself… the supplement hasn’t even come out. Just chill.

Agreed^ … your senior year is long enough as it is, drawing it out by worrying solely about school and college apps is no way to enjoy your last year of high school. Preoccupy yourself with other stuff. Find time for fun. If not, this year will feel like eternity.

So URM played no role in your admission with a 1800 SAT? That’s awesome Congratulations.

Nope haha … and whoa there … it wasn’t 1800 … 1890 thank you very much :P

haha of course it did. you aren’t special.

1890 .sorry about that (1800 makes your achievement all the more special though )

For reasons I don’t know, there seems to be much much more emphasis on standardized test scores than essays on CC, and even in the real world. But like alexcuad mentioned, your essays are very important. I can confidently say that they’re just as important as your test scores.

Anyone can get a 2200, but only you can write an essay that is unique to you. And that’s what differentiates you from everyone else.

Good luck, 2017ers!

I obviously won’t stress myself out thinking about the college admissions cycle and I have other things to do with my time, but at the same time, it does weigh on your mind a bit, doesn’t it? BTW, The supplement comes out July 1 right?

Nah, August 1st I think

We went to Princeton information session on Tuesday this week, the assistant Dean told us that Princetons EA does not prevent applicants applying other colleges EA, as long as they are non-binding and not ED. I think either I misunderstood him or he misinterpreted the admission policy, because it is different than what I read on Princeton webpage and their brochure unless they just change their policy for the 2013. Could anybody clarify this? Thank you.

I answered this question on the other thread, but just to reiterate, Princeton has Single Choice Early Action. This means that you may not apply early to any other private college or university. You may apply early to any public university as long as it is non binding. You may also apply to colleges with rolling admissions.

Thanks mathgirl21, this is what I understood too, but the assistant Dean replied that BOTH private and public colleges’ EA are allowed, that make us confused. BTW, the student tour guide and the campus itself are excellent, what a great visit.

@Princeton2017
Nvm you’re right.

I will apply to Princeton SCEA and UVA EA this fall. Princeton is my first choice for Physics. IB Diploma Candidate with 4.4w GPA.

Hmm on the site it says the supplement comes out July 1st but I don’t see anything.

It’s early. Maybe in a few hours.
