*OFFICIAL PSAT THREAD 2014 (US)*

I haven't seen a PSAT thread so I decided to make this discussion page.
I'm a junior, and I'm crossing my fingers that I'll qualify for National Merit.
I think the cut off will be at 224 for CA.
Good luck guys, it's tomorrow!

I barely studied for this test because i’m taking the act, but i’m a pretty good test taker so i think i’ll hit 210-225. The cut off in my state Washington was i think 220 last year

Wait I think that internationals and US are taking the same test (form w), so just use one of the threads made

Anyone have any predictions for the curve? I need at least a 230 and I’m concerned because I know I already got 2 wrong on writing and I’m unsure of how I performed on CR.

Hey, does anyone want to create a Google Doc? I felt pretty confident about the test, but my school had egregiously bad testing conditions. There was this big, fat window that was shining light into my eyes…and the school bell kept ringing…and the proctors kept walking around…so… Yeah, does anyone want to create one?

Go for it.

And I just finished the test, barely studied. It was fairly easy, although the time constraint is what got me. Thank God I’m a sophomore. I’m just crossing my fingers in hopes of making the cutoff (Texas resident, the cutoff here is around 216)

Was the grammar question about kites B since it said “originally first invented” and that’s redundant?

yes, redundant

did you get flippant?

…for what? I don’t remember that one. And was the second to last identifying errors “had lain”? Ugh I put e and I think I missed it

had lain is correct! no error……flippant was about “woof”

SERIOUSLY YESSSS

by the way the SAturday test is ALWAYS different than today’s test! So no worries we are helping someone else. A

Uhh what exactly was the question… I dint remember that

Saturday’s test was hard… This one was much better

Apparently it was “had laid” :frowning: dangitt

no i looked it up….had lain is correct

Oh really? Where’d you find that? Because all the websites I’m looking at say it’s had laid for objects.

you have laid the books on the table….but the books have Lain on the table……
