AprilStar - the correct answer for the Latina writer passage was oral - written because of the spoken stories from relatives, and the written from he books

AHH! My computer is soo slow.... sorry for my slow responses

For the SC about the girl - the answer was dejectory - which mean to reject or "cast down" ....

EDIT: after looking at other posts, I realize I was wrong .. dejectory was not the correct answer =(

For the multiple choice April , the answer was written and oral. The question asked about the types of ways the latina girl was informed about her culture. It said that she was told stories (oral) and read books (written)

I definitely put the thing about challenging convention on the yoke question

ahh man i put direct and the other one...

To whoever was asking, I'm pretty sure 14 was the answer to the average.

So for the mistrusting girl I've heard dejectory and misanthrope. Anyone have an argument or further input either way?

gah i put a because oral & written sounded too easy. DANGIT!

Exrunner - the answer is probably misanthrope .... but dejectory seemed good as well ......misanthrope is definetly the answers though ...

dejectory comes from deject which means to spiritually cast down...misanthrope is somebody who hates people...misanthrope makes MUCH more sense

Wow people already here. JUst got back from school. Math-Easier thatn expected but a couple of hard problems, Verbal-Harder, Writing-What was expected.

Math Questions
1) What was the answer to the question about car maintence. How like her mom pays for her insurance, so insurance is taken out so how much percent of maintence out of the whole thing. Or something like that

2) Also this was like close to the end of the multiply choices. It was like a pattern thing. Where the the difference between the first number and the second number is the third number. So what is the n number. Or something like that. I have bad memory. The wording was a lot harder. Can someone post the real question and the answer and how to do it.

Damn it I missed the pentagon one. i knew the total angle had something to do with the problem. But I took the easy way and divided the number they gavev us by three.

1)13.3333 (i could be wrong i dont remember that well....whatever it was 10/75 i think? )
2)n=10. Keep continuing the pattern untill you see 0. Count how many back it was.

MATH! oy. I wish I didn't suck at it. Sorry if these have been answered in this thread before, but here are my questions:
1. last question in the grid-in...was the answer 1111?
2. what was the answer to the one about gas? it was like- a car holds 18 gallons of gas...how can you express the amount of time it takes to fill if you know that g gallons per t amount of time are pumped.
3. Did anyone else bomb the grid-in? I left two blank and answered a couple others wrong. While I think I did well on the rest of the math, if I got even a few more wrong between the two sections, my math score is screwed. oy. oh well. Anyway, I thought it was a lot harder than the grid-in on the practice test.

its misanthropy.

Welcome made in China! Let the stress begin ... lol

1- The answer was 13.33333% (13 1/3 %)

2- The answer was 10 .. the question was something like .. " In the sequence above, the first number is 7, and the second number is 2 (i made these up i forgot the real numbers). If each number after that is the non-negative subtraction of the two previous numbers, and the nth term is the term when O is the answer, what is N ? (i butchered it as well, but u get the idea)

so sure it was 14?? ok

hey what would -4 and 2 omit be on math??
what about -4 and 1 omit be on writing?
what about 4 omit and 12-14 wrong on CR?? :(

thats all you suppose to do. Damn that sucks. I had trouble with the wording, didn't knoiw what it wanted.

ex runner is right for those

what did u get for the triangle with angles a>b>c
i but both I and III were correct

except for that one.. i need verification.... (i had random brain downtime lol) im pretty sure i aced math

CR...DIE!!! lol. well i suck at vocab. but i could deal with the passages (shocker)

oh another Q- what did youput for the Writing Q - i put "The drama teacher aked her students whether they preferred the works of tim to the works of bob." i think wat i put is wrong (cause of the "to")

Thanx Vinny for the warm welcome. Wish I made it here sooner.

i hope their is a big curve on critical reading !!!!
