Columbia sends out their e-mail so as to be received by April 1.

oh? collegeboard says it notifies April 4th.

My son has applied for regular decision. My daughter is a sophomore at Georgetown and is a member of GAAP (Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program). She says the letters will go out on Good Friday, March 25. The GAAP members will call the last week in March.

We live in South America so two years ago she got an email from GAAP before she got her letter from the university. This time we've used our stateside address and so we'll get a call from my sister when the mail comes.

He's applied to the Business School and his other choice is University of Maryland.

I hope we're coming to DC!

Jason - I have received mail from GAAP telling me about Georgetown (it was personally signed by the Ohio chair of GAAP) - is that a good indication or do you send that to all applicants?

I'm not personally involved with chair letters, but from what I know, it should be a good sign, b/c I don't think that we send letters out to all applicants like that(at least, I don't remember getting one anyway from the NY chair). Don't take my word on it b/c I'm not too sure, but at this point, any mail should be positive. Good luck!

I got a letter from 2 Mich members of the GAAP prior to getting the decision, and I was accepted, so I'd take it as a good sign.

I got from MD in dec and didnt get in Ea. I applied to SFS.

I got a personally signed letter in late October form my GAAP chairperson and I completely forgot about it until I read these posts. The thing is I got it before I had sent in the second part of my app, and any of the teacher recs, and transcripts etc. Is is a bad thing that I didn't respond to the person writing the letter? I now feel like I may have looked disinterested, which is completely untrue. I applied RD by the way.

Who's on the California GAAP board? I didn't get anything from them. Perhaps there are too many Californian's applying.

Seems the letters are to be mailed on March 23. That will be so kind to know before Easter.

yeah from what others are saying, I'm guessing these letters are just generic ones sent out to people in various states, though all don't get them. But remember, the 23-27th is coming quickly, so just relax until then, then you can start getting agitated, lol. I remember April 1st last year. I DIED that whole day. lol

I didn't apply to Gtown but I was talking to a friend of mine who works in the admissions office and he says that they will be mailing hte bulk of the decisions this Thursday. Hope that helps! :)

whoa, that's intensely early! that means we might get the d's by Saturday! eep

I received one from California's chairwoman of the GAAP. Didn't get in EA. Still keeping fingers crossed.

it's the 23rd here now........... 0_0
hyperventilates and dies
AHHH!!! so anxious >o<

..i hope they have my email.. don't remember if i wrote it somewhere =T

^^^

Hahaha...breathe...deep breaths.

In Suriname, the 23rd is still over 2 hours away. May I ask, where are you? Fortunately my stateside address is in the DC area so we should know Thursday.

So people could start hearing (in California) as early as March 25th?

so is Georgetown mailing the letters out tommorrow?

calidan, you wont be hearing the 25th, because its Good Friday - no mail.
