<p>Edit: Actually. No. I'm tired of all these goddamned stats threads. Who the hell cares. If you were admitted...its because the adcoms saw something in you that made them believe that you would make a good addition to the Dartmouth Class of '09. If you were rejected...its because the adcoms feel you were not a good match for Dartmouth, and further felt that you would be more successful at another institution.</p>
<p>Let us move away from these arbitrary numbers and acronyms. To which ever idiot decided that our lives should be governed by what we get on a test....screw you. And let us not vindicate that idiot by comparing ourselves side by side like horses at an auction. </p>
<p>The reason I like this board so much more than the others is because we focus on the people... not just the numbers. Newby...congrats on your 1400...but I don't give a flying **** how many questions you got right or wrong on the SAT. I care that you are nice..compassionate...aware...and that you genuinly have the best intrests of yourself and your potential classmates at heart. And that goes for everyone else..</p>

<p>Thank God the Dartmouth board is so cool and we've been able to avoid the stats threads for so long, unlike other, more petty boards (<em>cough</em>Harvard<em>cough</em>). :p</p>
