Ok I'll start... yay i just got accepted today!!

anyone else?

yea i got it today too. Nice blue folder and certificate, not bad.

as did i. agreed, nice presentation by richmond

just got the mail! accepted! :-)

Accepted...although this thread isn't gonna work out too well considering the people rejected or WLd probably won't reply

Accepted here as well!

haha yayyy...

are any of you planning on coming here?

If I get accepted to Princeton or Cornell, no I won't be going to UR.

If I get into to UVA, I will probably go to UR.

Looks like I'll be at UR next year.

I'm accepted also. I really like the school, but still undecided. 14% this year. Well done all of you!

I got my acceptance today. I found it weird that the folder and letter was actually in the USPS-provided priority mail envelope (ya know, the ugly blue one w/ the eagle thing on it), rather than some special UR envelope or w.e.

anyways, regarding the "14% admit rate" this year. the stat UR gave, was worded, "you were selected by our admission committee from among 5400 outstanding applications from all over the world for a class of 750." to me, that means only 750 end up matriculating into UR, not that they only accepted 750. According to US NEWS and world reports (2006), the admitt rate is 40%. it also says that last year, 6,236 applied, and 2,475 were accepted. but the entire student body at UR is 2,931. so the 750 is the expected size of the freashman class of 2010, i'm sure that they've got actuaries who figure what % of students who are accepted actually matriculate so that they fill the spots. so again, their published admitt rate according to USnews is 40%. i thought that the letter UR mailed was somewhat misleading, shrug.

congrats to those who made the cut! i'm prob not going to UR, though. again, congrats and good luck to those who are still waiting to receive their admissions decisions!

if i get into tufts or colgate or vassar i am probably not going to UR..

but you never know! haha

Decision: Accepted

Got the envelope in the mail today. It's nice, but with no scholarship it can't compete with other offers.
